🌍 U.S.-IRAN CONFRONTATION DEEPENS AS ISRAEL REMAINS ON HIGH ALERT

🤝 Diplomatic Coordination and Mediation Continue: Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump held another phone conversation, during which Trump updated Netanyahu on U.S. military operations in the Gulf.

Netanyahu raised what he described as increasingly severe statements by Turkish President Erdoğan and his associates regarding Israel's existence, while emphasizing the importance of maintaining security zones along Israel's borders.

President Trump said Iran had requested that negotiations continue and that the United States agreed, while stressing that "the ceasefire is over."

CNN reported that the Trump administration currently prefers Israel not become directly involved in the fighting, believing this preserves U.S. control over the conflict. An Israeli source said Netanyahu would prefer Israeli participation alongside U.S. forces, but Washington is presently declining such involvement.

Reuters reported that a Qatari mediation delegation is in Iran seeking to reduce tensions and preserve conditions for continued negotiations. Axios also cited a Middle Eastern source who said mediators believe recent Iranian attacks in the Strait of Hormuz were initiated by elements within the Iranian government opposed to the reported memorandum of understanding and seeking to undermine it, reportedly including IRGC Commander Ahmad Vahidi.

🛰️ Security Threats and Intelligence Assessments: Iran's National Security Council warned that attacks on Iranian infrastructure would receive reciprocal responses and declared that Israel "will not be safe from the retaliation of the resistance."

Separately, Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, said Iran's armed forces would punish those responsible for killing the late Supreme Leader "sooner or later."

CNN reported that Israel shared intelligence with the United States indicating Iran had recently developed a new plan to assassinate President Trump. While one source described it as a specific plot and another said U.S. intelligence had already been tracking increased reporting on possible assassination plans, CNN also reported that some U.S. officials believed the Israeli warning may have been intended to influence President Trump's deliberations over expanding military operations.

Israeli Channel 12, however, reported that U.S. intelligence agencies did not assess the alleged assassination warning as a credible threat.

✈️ Additional Military and Civilian Developments: According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, the United States is transferring a squadron of F-22 Raptor stealth fighters from Ovda Air Base back to the United States.

Iran's Health Ministry said U.S. strikes over the past two days hit five provinces, killing 14 people and wounding 78. The IRGC reported that three of its personnel were killed in Khuzestan Province.

Iranian Railways also announced the temporary suspension of train service between Tehran and Mashhad following the U.S. attacks.
