💥 LEBANON: HEZBOLLAH DRONE ATTACK DRAWS IDF RESPONSE: An IDF officer and two soldiers were seriously wounded overnight when a Hezbollah explosive drone struck troops from the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit operating near the Ali al-Taher Ridge in southern Lebanon’s Security Zone. The IDF said the drone was launched at approximately 2:30 a.m. and described the attack as a ceasefire violation.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said Hezbollah had attacked soldiers in the Security Zone, “which protects Israeli communities just across the border,” and confirmed that all three soldiers were seriously wounded.
The IDF responded with strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatieh and Ansar areas, including what it described as a central Radwan Force headquarters responsible for directing activity in the area.
🎯 RADWAN AND “BADDER UNIT” COMMANDERS ELIMINATED: The Ansar strike eliminated Radwan Force battalion commander Ali Samir Al-Haj Hassan and several additional terrorists whom the IDF said were involved in advancing attacks against troops in the Security Zone.
Hassan’s family was reportedly present inside the headquarters and was harmed. The IDF said they were not targeted and accused Hassan of using his family as human shields inside the military compound. The Prime Minister’s Office said the IDF learned only afterward that Hezbollah had deliberately placed civilians there.
Lebanon’s official National News Agency reported seven people killed and three wounded in Ansar. Lebanese media also reported extensive strikes around Nabatieh and the Ali Taher Ridge, beneath which Hezbollah reportedly maintains a major underground facility.
In a separate strike in the Deir ez-Zahrania area, the IDF eliminated Abu Hassan Alaa, a senior commander in Hezbollah’s “Badder Unit.” The military said he had advanced numerous attacks against IDF troops, including explosive-drone launches, and had previously commanded several combat sectors operating against Israeli soldiers and civilians. Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported two people killed and nine wounded in the strike.
⚠️ HEZBOLLAH THREATENS RETALIATION: Hezbollah said it intends to respond proportionately to the latest Israeli strikes. Lebanese outlet MTV separately reported unconfirmed information that Hezbollah units along the front line were preparing possible strikes inside Israel. Israeli civilian guidelines remained unchanged.
⚔️ GAZA: CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS ALONG THE YELLOW LINE: An IDF tank operating with the Givati Brigade drove over an explosive device planted by Hamas in southern Gaza, with no Israeli injuries reported.
In a separate incident, Paratroopers Brigade soldiers identified two terrorists crossing the Yellow Line who, according to the IDF, were attempting to sabotage weapons belonging to Israeli troops and approached in a manner that posed a threat. Both were eliminated. The military characterized the incidents as ceasefire violations and said it viewed them gravely.
