🛡️ TWO SUSPECTS APPREHENDED OVER PLANNED ATTACKS IN THE JENIN AREA: Duvdevan commandos, guided by the Shin Bet, apprehended Imam Khazzam overnight after the IDF said he was working to advance an attack against Israeli civilians and security forces.
Khazzam is the son of Fathi Hazzam, who was eliminated last Thursday after attempting to stab an IDF soldier, and the brother of Raed Hazzam, who murdered three Israeli civilians and wounded six others in the 2022 Dizengoff shooting attack. The IDF said Imam expressed intentions to carry out an attack following his father’s elimination. In a separate Shin Bet-guided operation in Sanur near Jenin, troops apprehended another terrorist accused of working to advance attacks against Israelis.
🗳️ POLLS SHOW STABLE BUT SHARPLY DIFFERENT ELECTORAL MAPS: Two national polls published Monday night continue to produce a 13-seat difference in Netanyahu’s projected bloc. News 12 gives Netanyahu’s bloc 50 seats, the non-Arab opposition 59 and Arab parties 11, while Channel 14/NEXT DATA gives the bloc 63, the non-Arab opposition 47 and Arab parties 10. Both are essentially unchanged from each pollster’s previous survey, pointing to a persistent difference between their models rather than a new electoral swing.
Both polls give Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar! 24 seats, but diverge sharply on Likud and Bennett’s Together: News 12 places them at 22 and 15 respectively, while Channel 14 gives them 32 and 7. That divergence accounts for much of the gap between the bloc projections.
The electoral threshold remains a significant factor on the right. In News 12’s Ofer Winter scenario, Winter wins four seats while Religious Zionism falls to 2.4%, below the 3.25% threshold, reducing Netanyahu’s bloc to 49 and raising the non-Arab opposition to 60. The pattern closely mirrors the latest Kan scenario, where Winter received five seats but Smotrich again failed to cross the threshold.
Channel 14 produces the opposite outcome: Winter receives 2.1% and remains below threshold, Religious Zionism wins five seats and Netanyahu’s bloc stays at 63. Other small lists also remain near but below the threshold in News 12 scenarios, leaving wasted votes as a potentially decisive factor in reaching 61.
🔐 SHIN BET REVIEWS EISENKOT’S SECURITY: Netanyahu instructed the head of the Israel Security Agency to ensure Yashar chairman Gadi Eisenkot receives security “at an appropriate level, as needed.” Netanyahu was informed that the agency is operating in accordance with existing rules and the law.
