🌍 ABRAHAM ACCORDS ANNIVERSARY: Jared Kushner marked six years since President Trump launched the Abraham Accords, describing them as the opening of a new chapter of “peace, partnership, and prosperity” in the Middle East.
Kushner said the region is again at an inflection point with opportunities many will consider impossible, arguing that progress remains possible when leaders reject conventional assumptions, focus on shared interests and pursue new approaches with persistence and courage. He concluded: “We surprised the world once. With the right leadership, focus, patience, and courage, I believe we can do it again.”
🏛️ ISRAELI POLITICAL POSITIONS: At a private political gathering in Tzurit in the Galilee, Avigdor Lieberman ruled out forming a government with Ra’am, saying: “After October 7, Ra’am MKs spoke like Hamas spokespeople — we will not sit with them in a government.”
Bezalel Smotrich said increasing the ultra-Orthodox enlistment rate would be a condition for joining the next government, declaring: “We will bring about a revolution.” He set a target under which soldiers would serve no more than 30 days of reserve duty annually by 2027. The plan calls for adding approximately 50,000 soldiers to the reserves and establishing a national ultra-Orthodox enlistment program, including expanded dedicated service tracks for yeshiva students.
🇨🇴 ISRAEL DEPLOYS RESCUE DELEGATION TO COLOMBIA: Following directives from the political echelon, the joint IDF, Defense Ministry and Foreign Ministry humanitarian delegation “Alliance of Brothers” is departing for Colombia following the earthquake across the country.
The 80-member delegation, jointly led by the Home Front Command and Foreign Ministry, will depart Nevatim Airbase aboard Israeli Air Force aircraft and begin search-and-rescue operations upon arrival. Home Front Command Commander Maj. Gen. Shay Klepper said the mission is intended to provide immediate life-saving assistance using rapid mapping of affected areas.
The delegation is led by National Search and Rescue Unit commander Brig. Gen. (Res.) Yossi Pinto and includes a rescue team and specialists serving in active and reserve duty.
