⚖️ TRUMP SEEKS TOUGHER IRAN NUCLEAR TERMS AS TEHRAN REJECTS RESIGNATION RUMORS

🌍 U.S. Position on Nuclear Negotiations: President Donald Trump stated that the United States intends to secure a stronger agreement with Iran, warning that military action remains an alternative if negotiations fail. He said the scope of the proposed agreement had expanded beyond preventing Iran from developing a nuclear weapon to also restricting the development or acquisition of military weapons, describing the distinction as significant.

📝 Proposed Changes to Draft Agreement: According to Axios, Trump reviewed a draft agreement negotiated by his envoys and requested additional revisions before granting final approval. The reported changes focus on tighter restrictions on Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile and more explicit language regarding the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. officials are awaiting Tehran’s response in the coming days.

🚤 IRGC Showcases New Naval Capability: The IRGC unveiled the “27 Rajab,” a missile-armed fast attack boat described as capable of carrying cruise missiles with a range of approximately 700 kilometers while operating in challenging sea conditions. The display also featured a fast attack boat previously used in operations in the Strait of Hormuz, exhibited in Tehran’s Revolution Square.

🛰️ Disputed Drone Interception Claim: The IRGC claimed it shot down an MQ-1 Predator drone that allegedly entered Iranian territorial waters during what it described as a hostile mission. The claim drew scrutiny because the MQ-1 Predator was officially retired by the U.S. military in 2018, with the UAE considered a more likely current operator of the aircraft.

🏛️ Iran Rejects Resignation Reports: Iranian officials denied reports that President Masoud Pezeshkian requested permission from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei to resign. A presidential adviser dismissed the report as propaganda, while Tasnim News Agency cited a government source stating that Pezeshkian continues to perform his duties normally and remains engaged in his scheduled activities.

🛡️ Israel Appoints New National Security Adviser: Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appointed Shmuel Ben Ezra as Head of the National Security Council and National Security Adviser. Ben Ezra brings more than three decades of security experience, including leadership in the development of the Arrow 3 missile defense system and senior service in the Shin Bet’s technology and cyber operations division.

🎓 Background and Strategic Focus: The Prime Minister’s Office highlighted Ben Ezra’s extensive academic credentials, technological expertise, and experience working with international government agencies. Officials said his appointment is intended to strengthen Israel’s security, national resilience, and technological leadership.

🤝 Chief of Staff Strengthens Community Engagement: Ahead of Eid al-Adha, IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir met Bedouin municipal leaders and senior officers in Zarzir, emphasizing the contribution of Bedouin soldiers serving throughout the military and discussing expanded cooperation with local leadership.

Zamir later met Sheikh Muwaffaq Tarif alongside senior commanders and representatives of the Druze community. He described the relationship between the IDF and the Druze community as a longstanding covenant of shared service and sacrifice.

During the visit, he honored fallen Druze officers, including Col. Ehsan Daqsa and LTC Salman Habaka, while reaffirming support initiatives focused on security, education, economic development, and community welfare.
