🛡️ LEBANON: HEZBOLLAH DRONES, IDF STRIKES AND FAILED PILOT PLAN: Hezbollah launched two explosive drones overnight toward IDF troops operating at the Ali-Taher Ridge inside the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. Troops shot down one drone and lost contact with the second; no Israeli soldiers were injured.
The IDF responded with strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatieh area, including weapons storage facilities it said were established to support attacks against Israeli civilians and troops. The military says Hezbollah maintains a major underground facility beneath the Ali-Taher Ridge and believes several operatives remain inside.
The IDF said it would continue operating forcefully against Hezbollah attempts to harm its troops and has promised “significant strikes” following the violations.
An Israeli security source separately told Walla that Israel has informed the United States that the southern Lebanon pilot-zones plan has failed, saying the Lebanese Army did not destroy Hezbollah infrastructure based on coordinates supplied by the IDF and that Israeli dissatisfaction with its actions is growing.
🎯 GAZA: THREE HAMAS OPERATIVES ELIMINATED AS IDF CITES CEASEFIRE VIOLATIONS: The IDF said it eliminated Hamas commander Ismail Mohammed Ibrahim Barim in Khan Yunis. According to the military, Barim participated in holding Edan Alexander, Matan Zangauker and Avera Mengistu hostage in a tunnel in southern Gaza and had recently been advancing attacks and efforts to rebuild Hamas capabilities.
In separate strikes, the IDF eliminated Bilal Ibrahim Saleh Raqi‘i, a commander in Hamas’ anti-tank array, in Al-Shati, and Azzam Rifaat Abd Abadala, an operative in Hamas’ Khan Yunis Brigade. The military said both had continued advancing attacks against Israeli troops and civilians while attempting to rebuild Hamas capabilities “while systematically violating the ceasefire.”
The IDF described the strikes as actions taken “to remove the threat.”
Palestinian media also reported one person killed and several wounded in an Israeli drone strike in Gaza City. The IDF said it had targeted a terrorist operative and would provide further details.
Defense Minister Israel Katz said the deadline of an Israeli ultimatum had expired and warned that any balloons or kites launched from Gaza toward southern Israeli communities would be met with a severe response.
✈️ IDF AIRCRAFT RECOVERED AFTER EMERGENCY LANDING: An IDF remotely piloted aircraft made an emergency landing in the Shokeda area of the western Negev because of a technical malfunction. IDF forces recovered the aircraft safely, and the incident is under investigation.
