🤝 Rome Negotiations: Lebanon confirmed it will participate in July 14-15 negotiations with Israel at the U.S. Embassy in Rome. Lebanese officials said their delegation will address diplomatic issues only, while the Lebanese Army informed U.S. officials it is prepared to deploy into areas vacated by Israeli forces.
Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter said Hezbollah's dismantlement remains a prerequisite for any Israeli withdrawal and transfer of pilot zones to Lebanese Armed Forces control. He said Israel would retain its security zone if Hezbollah remained active or pilot zones failed to demonstrate effective control. Coordination with CENTCOM on a phased withdrawal continues.
Lebanon will be represented by Ambassadors Simon Karam and Nada Mouawad, while Israel will be represented by Ambassador Yechiel Leiter. Lebanese officials described the atmosphere as cautiously positive despite the absence of guarantees. According to Al-Mayadeen, the Lebanese Army opposes direct coordination with Israeli forces before a full Israeli withdrawal, with the United States continuing field coordination. U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee also said proposals involving Syrian involvement in Lebanon were rejected by all parties.
🛡️ Military Operations: The Israeli Air Force struck a Hamas weapons manufacturing facility in Gaza City that the IDF said was restoring Hamas' military capabilities in violation of the ceasefire. According to the military, operatives were manufacturing weapons components and preparing attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. Gazan media reported four fatalities.
The IDF also announced the elimination of Hassan Mustafa Zahir Al-Razina, who it said was attempting to plant explosive devices near the Yellow Line, and Mohammad Mahmoud Abd al-Mu'ti Fayyoumi, identified as a Hamas Nukhba terrorist allegedly preparing imminent attacks against Israeli soldiers.
During the night, IDF forces entered Al-Mughayyir and Khirbet Abu Falah in the Binyamin Brigade area after an Israeli civilian reported hearing gunfire directed toward him. No injuries were reported as forces searched for suspects and established roadblocks.
🚔 Domestic Security: Israeli security forces arrested four Bedouin suspects from the Negev on suspicion of planning a mass-casualty attack targeting Be'er Sheva's central bus station.
Before entering caretaker status, the government is expected to approve more than one billion shekels for roads, access routes, and security projects serving dozens of new communities in Judea and Samaria. Separately, the Israel Tax Authority announced that residents of 64 Judea and Samaria communities will receive a retroactive 7% tax benefit beginning next month.
🏭 Defense Industry: According to BILD, the Qatar Investment Authority, a major Volkswagen shareholder, blocked a proposed partnership between Volkswagen and Israeli defense company Rafael to manufacture Iron Dome components in Germany.
