🎯 IDF OPERATIONS ACROSS LEBANON: The IDF continued large-scale strikes across southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, command centers, launch sites, weapons storage facilities, military structures, and operatives. According to the IDF, more than 150 Hezbollah infrastructure sites and terrorists were struck over the past day in the Tyre and Nabatieh areas and throughout the Beqaa Valley. Approximately 550 Hezbollah targets have reportedly been struck since the beginning of the week.
💥 STRIKES IN THE WESTERN BEQAA: Heavy Israeli airstrikes were reported in the town of Sohmor in Lebanon’s western Beqaa region. Large secondary explosions and shockwaves followed the strikes, with reports indicating ammunition cook-offs inside the targeted area. Israel was also reported to have used GBU-28 bunker-buster munitions against suspected underground weapons and ammunition storage sites located in caves or mountainous positions.
🏘️ EVACUATION ORDERS & DIPLOMATIC CONSTRAINTS: Israel issued evacuation warnings for 13 additional towns across southern Lebanon as operations expanded. Israeli Channel 11, citing an Israeli official, reported that the United States was refusing to allow Israeli strikes in Beirut in order to avoid giving Iran grounds to withdraw from ongoing negotiations.
🛰️ UAV INCIDENT & TARGETED ELIMINATIONS: As part of the IDF’s forward defensive operations in southern Lebanon, the Israeli Air Force identified a UAV that was assessed as threatening Israeli troops operating in the area. After the UAV landed, a Hezbollah operative arrived to retrieve it and was eliminated in an airstrike. The IDF stated that the Air Force would continue operating to defend Israeli forces in southern Lebanon.
🛡️ HEZBOLLAH OPERATIVES TARGETED: The IDF also announced the elimination of the terrorist responsible for killing Major (res.) Itamar Sapir last week. According to the military, the operative was identified entering a structure near the church area from which the attack originated and was struck through combined tank fire and an Israeli Air Force strike. Additional operations targeted Hezbollah observation posts, weapons storage facilities, and structures used to support attacks.
🚨 ALERTS IN NORTHERN ISRAEL: Sirens warning of hostile aircraft infiltrations sounded in Rosh HaNikra, Betzet, Shlomi, Shomera, Kiryat Shmona, and Manara. In the Rosh HaNikra and Betzet areas, suspicious aerial targets were identified near locations where IDF troops are operating in southern Lebanon. An interceptor was launched, though the interception results remain under review.
🚁 DRONE INFILTRATIONS & PROJECTILES: Additional alerts in the Shlomi and Shomera areas were followed by the identification of several explosive drones that crossed from Lebanon and impacted inside Israeli territory near the border. No injuries were reported. The IDF later determined that the alerts in Kiryat Shmona and Manara were caused by a false identification. Separately, one projectile launched from Lebanon overnight crossed into Israeli territory and landed in an open area in northern Israel without causing injuries.
