🛡️ ISRAEL REVIEWS EXPANDED RESPONSE OPTIONS IN LEBANON AS HEZBOLLAH FIRE CONTINUES ACROSS THE NORTH

🛡️ Sustained Hezbollah Fire Across Northern Israel: Over roughly 12 hours, Hezbollah launched more than 65 rockets toward IDF forces, alongside an additional 14 rockets targeting Israeli communities including Kiryat Shmona, Nahariya, and Carmiel. Ten UAVs and two anti-tank missiles were also launched, while additional combat encounters with terrorists were reported inside the defense area.

🚨 Air Defense Activity And Civilian Alerts: Multiple sirens were activated across northern Israel throughout the day due to rocket fire, UAV infiltration alerts, and interception activity. The Israeli Air Force intercepted numerous projectiles launched from Lebanon, while several others fell in open areas. A direct hit was identified in the Kiryat Shmona area. No injuries were reported in the documented incidents.

🛰️ Repeated UAV Infiltration Incidents Along The Border: Hostile aircraft infiltration alerts were activated in communities including Rosh HaNikra, Shomera, Arab al-Aramshe, Metula, Kfar Giladi, Misgav Am, and Zar’it. Several UAVs and suspicious aerial targets launched from Lebanon were intercepted, while some alerts were triggered by concerns over falling interceptor debris. In a number of incidents, the IDF later determined the alerts were false identifications or that aerial targets had not crossed into Israeli territory.

⚠️ Northern Israel Moves Under Expanded Restrictions: The Home Front Command updated defensive guidelines effective from Saturday evening through Monday evening. Confrontation Line communities and several nearby localities shifted to limited activity status, including bans on educational activity, restrictions on gatherings, and closure of beaches. Upper Galilee and Northern Golan communities moved to partial activity guidelines, with educational activity and workplaces permitted only where protected spaces are accessible within required warning times.

🌍 Israeli Leadership Weighs Broader Action In Lebanon: Israeli media reported that Defense Minister Israel Katz plans to seek approval from Prime Minister Netanyahu for a more offensive approach against Hezbollah, including potential strikes in Beirut. Netanyahu is reportedly expected to convene the cabinet to discuss possible targets and the timing of additional responses following the day’s attacks. Separate reports also claimed that Israeli and Lebanese military delegations held direct talks in Washington.

❗ Ben Gvir Calls For Strikes On Dahiyeh: National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir publicly called for intensified action against Hezbollah’s stronghold in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district, arguing that current operations are insufficient despite recent Hezbollah losses. Speaking near the northern border, Ben Gvir urged broader military action while also stressing that attacks on Israeli soldiers and civilians remain a red line.

💥 IDF Expands Operations In Southern Lebanon: The IDF stated that it struck and dismantled a Hezbollah artillery command center in the el-Shamali area after identifying Hezbollah operatives at the site. Secondary explosions following the strike indicated weapons storage inside the structure. The military also reported continued advances into additional areas of southern Lebanon as operations expand.

🏚️ IDF Publishes Footage Of Hezbollah Strike On Lebanese Church: The IDF released footage showing Hezbollah rockets striking Saint Georges Orthodox Church in the Christian village of Marjaayoun overnight. According to the military, several rockets hit civilian structures in the area while no IDF troops were operating near the church at the time. The IDF said the incident reflects Hezbollah’s continued endangerment of Lebanese civilians.
