🤝 HEZBOLLAH SIGNALS WILLINGNESS FOR A MUTUAL HALT TO ATTACKS: According to Axios, Hezbollah informed the United States through Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri that it is prepared to accept a full and immediate ceasefire with Israel. Lebanese officials stated that Hezbollah agreed to an American proposal under which Israeli strikes in Beirut's Dahiyeh district would cease in exchange for Hezbollah halting attacks against Israel.
U.S. and Israeli officials reportedly remain uncertain whether Hezbollah would fully comply with such an arrangement, and do not expect Prime Minister Netanyahu to accept the proposal in its current form. The Lebanese Embassy in Washington stated that President Trump informed Lebanon's ambassador that he had secured Netanyahu's approval for the arrangement.
🇺🇸 U.S. INTERVENTION AND THE BEIRUT STRIKE DISPUTE: President Trump publicly addressed reports that Israeli military activity in Lebanon could affect ongoing U.S.-Iran diplomatic efforts. Following discussions with Prime Minister Netanyahu, Trump stated that no forces would enter Beirut and that military elements already moving toward the area had turned back.
Trump also said Hezbollah had agreed through intermediaries to cease fire if Israel likewise refrained from attacks. Reports indicated that a planned Israeli strike in Beirut's Dahiyeh district was postponed following American pressure.
🛡️ ISRAEL DEFINES ITS CURRENT ENFORCEMENT FRAMEWORK: Defense Minister Israel Katz stated that Israel will continue operating in southern Lebanon and that any Hezbollah attack on Israeli communities would trigger Israeli strikes in Beirut. He emphasized that Israel currently faces no operational restrictions inside Lebanon and retains freedom of action against emerging threats.
According to Katz, the current understanding is that Israel will refrain from striking Hezbollah strongholds in Dahiyeh as long as Hezbollah refrains from attacking Israel. He said this framework has gained American recognition in recent days and reiterated that Israel's objectives remain degrading Hezbollah's military capabilities, removing its presence from southern Lebanon, and preserving operational freedom throughout the country.
🏛️ POLITICAL DEBATE OVER U.S. PRESSURE: National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir publicly urged Prime Minister Netanyahu to reject American pressure and expand military operations against Hezbollah. Ben Gvir argued that Israel should take all necessary measures to restore security in northern Israel and increase military pressure on the organization.
🗣️ OPERATIONAL SECURITY CONCERNS EMERGE: According to Channel 12, IDF officials criticized the public disclosure of plans to strike Beirut before the operation was carried out. Military sources reportedly stated that intended targets disappeared after the planned strike became public, preventing execution of the operation as originally designed.
At the same time, Iranian media and affiliated channels circulated warnings urging residents of northern Israel to evacuate amid threats of retaliation and the possibility of broader hostilities.
🕯️ HEZBOLLAH DRONE ATTACK KILLS IDF PHYSICIAN: Captain Dr. Ori Yosef Silvester, 30, physician of the Givati Brigade's Shaked Battalion, was killed in a Hezbollah explosive-drone attack in southern Lebanon.
During the attack, two explosive-laden FPV drones struck an armored vehicle in Zawtar al-Sharqiyah shortly after noon. Two officers and one soldier were severely wounded, one soldier was moderately wounded, and two officers and one soldier were lightly wounded. Among the lightly injured was the battalion commander, who is expected to return to duty in the coming days.
May his family be comforted among the mourners of Zion. And may HaShem avenge his blood.
