🌍 U.S.-IRAN CONFRONTATION AND REGIONAL SECURITY

🎯 U.S. Signals Readiness for Additional Action Against Iran: President Trump said the United States is likely to conduct further strikes against Iran, stating that previous attacks caused significant damage and asserting that Iran has limited ability to respond. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the U.S. military is prepared to strike "even more and even deeper" if directed.

Trump also reiterated that the primary U.S. objective remains Iran's denuclearization, arguing Tehran has repeatedly violated previous agreements. He claimed Iran requested a temporary pause in hostilities to allow Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's funeral, after which missile launches resumed. A U.S. official told CNN said Washington is reassessing its next steps as negotiations have been pushed to the brink of collapse.

⚠️ Iran Responds with Military and Strategic Threats: Iranian officials warned that additional U.S. strikes would trigger major retaliation, including closure of the Strait of Hormuz and attacks against a significantly larger number of targets. State media also discussed possible withdrawal from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), closure of the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and possible changes to Iran's nuclear doctrine if the country faces what it considers an existential threat.

Deputy Foreign Minister Gharibabadi rejected Trump's remarks, while IRGC-affiliated media urged an end to negotiations. Iranian state media reported eight Iranian Air Force and Navy personnel were killed in earlier U.S. strikes. Airports in Hormozgan Province were closed until further notice, while a senior Emirati official warned Iran could face a heavy price during the night.

🛡️ Israel and the United States Strengthen Military Readiness: Israel raised its national alert level to its highest state of readiness amid concerns fighting with Iran could resume. Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Katz canceled public appearances to conduct security consultations, while IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir met with senior commanders.

Israeli media reported direct discussions between Netanyahu and President Trump. The United States has reportedly begun repositioning aerial refueling aircraft across Israel and the region. Satellite imagery indicates roughly half of the U.S. refueling aircraft previously stationed at Ben Gurion Airport have departed, while more than 20 U.S. Navy warships continue operating under CENTCOM's regional deployment.

⛽ Kharg Island Remains a Strategic Pressure Point: President Trump said the United States struck Iran's Kharg Island, the country's principal oil export terminal, and suggested Washington could seize the island if necessary. He also renewed discussion of a naval blockade directed solely against Iran while allowing international commercial shipping to continue.

🤝 Lebanon and Syria: President Trump said he believes Israel intends to withdraw from southern Lebanon following discussions with Prime Minister Netanyahu and expressed optimism about future Israeli-Lebanese agreements. The next round of Israeli-Lebanese negotiations is expected to move from Washington to Rome under continued U.S. sponsorship, while Lebanon continues linking its participation to Israeli withdrawal from two remaining positions in southern Lebanon.

Standing alongside Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, Trump said Syria could contribute to future stability in Lebanon and added that al-Sharaa has "done a great job," saying he sees no reason Syria should remain on the U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism.
