🛡️ STRAIT OF HORMUZ, LEBANON SECURITY ZONE, AND ISRAELI WARNING TO IRAN

🚢 Strait of Hormuz: President Trump stated that Iran violated the maritime ceasefire by launching four one-way attack drones at commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz. According to Trump, one drone struck the upper deck of a large cargo ship, causing damage but allowing the vessel to continue its voyage, while U.S. forces intercepted the other three drones.

Trump described the incident as "a foolish violation of our Ceasefire Agreement" but did not outline any potential U.S. response, marking a more restrained public reaction than in previous similar incidents.

🌊 Maritime Security and Diplomatic Mechanisms: According to Bloomberg, Omani officials have informed European counterparts that the Strait of Hormuz is unlikely to return to its pre-war operating conditions. Commercial shipping may eventually face transit fees, reflecting preparations to accommodate potential Iranian demands for tolls or other charges on vessels using the strategic waterway.

Iranian Press TV also reported that a direct U.S.-Iran communication channel for the Strait of Hormuz was established following the Switzerland talks. The mechanism is intended to reduce the risk that maritime incidents escalate into broader military confrontation.

🎯 Lebanon Security Zone: The Israeli Air Force eliminated seven Hezbollah terrorists after they were identified transferring weapons near the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. The IDF said troops observed the operatives moving weapons into a structure near El Manzala that served as both a combat and observation post used to prepare attacks against Israeli forces. The military assessed the weapons transfer and the facility's activity as an immediate threat to IDF troops.

Lebanese media also reported that an Israeli drone dropped warning leaflets over Al-Mansouri near Tyre, cautioning civilians to avoid approaching Israeli forces. The IDF has not confirmed the report.

🛡️ Security Zone Activity: Lebanese sources further claimed that Israel notified the ceasefire oversight mechanism of an expansion of the Security Zone "yellow line" to include the towns of Barashit, Mansouri, and Majdal Zoun.

A separate Lebanese source alleged that Israeli armored vehicles advanced toward Haris, with at least one armored vehicle entering the town's perimeter, contradicting earlier claims that Israeli forces had withdrawn from the area.

⚠️ Israeli Warning to Iran: Defense Minister Israel Katz responded to recent threats issued by IRGC Quds Force Commander Esmail Qaani, saying the commander's previous image as "a collaborator" suited him better than what Katz described as his current "ridiculous barrage of threats."

Katz warned that any Iranian attack on Israel "will be its biggest mistake yet," adding that neither the Strait of Hormuz nor attacks on Israel's civilian population would prevent an Israeli response. He concluded that Israel's forces are prepared "to finish the job." Katz also tagged Iranian President Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf, and Foreign Minister Araqhchi in his message on X.
