🛡️ IDF THWARTS TERROR PLOT IN SAMARIA AS GAZA OPERATIVES ELIMINATED AND NORTHERN BORDER INCIDENTS CONTINUE

❌ TERROR PLOT DISRUPTED IN THE MENASHE REGION: IDF forces, acting on intelligence provided by the IDF and Shin Bet, arrested three terrorists near Meithalun who were preparing an attack in the Menashe Brigade area. A subsequent search uncovered an improvised "Carlo" firearm hidden underground. The suspects were transferred for further investigation.

🚔 HEBRON OPERATION FOLLOWING GUSH ETZION ATTACK: IDF troops operated in Hebron at the residence of the terrorist responsible for the vehicle-ramming attack at Gush Etzion Junction. Forces questioned individuals connected to the attacker during the raid. The terrorist was killed at the scene of the attack by a soldier from the Kfir Brigade's Nahshon Battalion. Three Israeli civilians were wounded, including two teenage girls, one of them seriously. Road restrictions remain in effect in the area.

🎯 GAZA OPERATIVES TARGETING IDF FORCES ELIMINATED: The IDF reported the elimination of five terrorists from Hamas and Islamic Jihad who were advancing imminent attacks against Israeli troops in Gaza. Among them were Hamas operatives involved in preparing explosives and coordinating sniper activity, as well as an Islamic Jihad sniper platoon commander. Two additional Hamas operatives were struck while planting explosive devices intended to target IDF forces.

🏥 HAMAS PLATOON COMMANDER KILLED IN DEIR AL-BALAH: The military announced that Jamal Abu Aoun, a Hamas platoon commander who also worked as a physician at Yafa Hospital, was killed in an IDF strike. According to the IDF, he was involved in directing attacks against Israeli forces and played a role in Hamas force-building, rehabilitation, and rearmament efforts that violated the ceasefire framework.

⚠️ NORTHERN COMMUNITIES RECEIVE LONGER WARNING TIMES: Following an operational assessment, the Home Front Command extended rocket-alert warning times from 60 to 90 seconds across 161 communities in northern Israel. The adjustment includes Haifa, the Krayot, the Carmel region, and additional northern localities.

🛡️ SECURITY INCIDENTS CONTINUE ALONG THE LEBANON BORDER: Multiple alerts were activated following launches from Lebanon and concerns over aerial threats near the border. The IAF intercepted two projectiles that crossed into Israeli territory, while a separate aerial target later fell inside Israel near the border area. Additional sirens were triggered during interception efforts, and one suspected hostile aircraft infiltration alert was later determined to be a false identification. A separate launch landed adjacent to IDF forces operating in southern Lebanon. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.

🌍 LEBANON FRONT INCREASINGLY INTERSECTS WITH IRAN DIPLOMACY: Discussion continues over whether the evolving U.S.-Iran diplomatic framework is beginning to influence developments beyond direct Washington-Tehran relations, including events in Lebanon. Iran has increasingly linked Israeli military activity in Lebanon to the broader diplomatic track, while reported American efforts to prevent a strike in Beirut highlight growing overlap between military operations and diplomatic negotiations.

🔍 DEBATE OVER DETERRENCE AND FREEDOM OF ACTION: The emerging linkage between Lebanon and broader regional diplomacy has fueled debate over potential constraints on Israeli operational freedom against Hezbollah. Questions also remain regarding Hezbollah's ability or willingness to fully uphold ceasefire understandings. Separately, reports that operational targets were lost following public discussion of a possible Beirut strike have intensified discussion over operational security, deterrence, and the balance between political signaling and military effectiveness.
