🛡️ IDF MAINTAINS READINESS ACROSS MULTIPLE FRONTS: Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir told a senior operational forum that Israel is at a “strategic crossroads,” with diplomatic negotiations underway across major arenas following what he described as the IDF’s “historic achievements.” He said the military must fully capitalize on those gains while maintaining strong defensive preparedness and immediate readiness to return to high-intensity combat.
The forum included a multi-front operational and intelligence assessment, lessons from recent fighting and planning for continued operations. Zamir credited forces across the ground, air, sea, intelligence, communications and logistics branches with changing Israel’s security reality since October 7.
🇺🇸 U.S.-ISRAEL MILITARY COOPERATION REMAINS A STRATEGIC ANCHOR: CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper participated in the forum, highlighting the “historic” U.S.-Israel military partnership. Zamir described cooperation with the U.S. military as unprecedented and strategically significant.
🔸 GAZA FRAMEWORK LINKS IDF WITHDRAWAL TO VERIFIED DISARMAMENT: Board of Peace Director-General Nickolay Mladenov said the roadmap is built around full decommissioning of weapons and military infrastructure, transitional governance and reconstruction backed by the Board of Peace, and deployment of an international security force.
Implementation would proceed geographically, sector by sector. Once weapons are removed, stored and rendered unusable under verification, the IDF would progressively withdraw toward the Gaza fence. If commitments are not fulfilled, Mladenov said, “the process stops,” while Israel would retain the ability to respond to imminent threats.
The framework covers Hamas and other faction weapons, personal weapons, production facilities and tunnels. Mladenov indicated that Kalashnikovs and large quantities of weapons would not qualify as permissible personal arms.
🕳️ TUNNEL DISMANTLING REMAINS A LONG-TERM CHALLENGE: Mladenov said dismantling Gaza’s tunnel network could take more than a decade at the current rate. The Board of Peace is considering contractors and heavy machinery to accelerate the process.
Verification would be American-led and involve the international security force, U.S. military and mediators including Egypt, Qatar and Turkey. Mladenov said the framework relies on verification rather than trust in Hamas, with the stated objective of preventing rearmament and another October 7 attack.
