🚢 IDF EXPANDS NAVAL ROLE WHILE CONSOLIDATING OPERATIONS AGAINST HEZBOLLAH IN SOUTHERN LEBANON

🛡️ The IDF stated that efforts to counter Hezbollah drone threats are continuing under the direct oversight of Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir. IDF Spokesperson BG Effie Defrin said operational progress has already been achieved, with additional capabilities still under development. The military reiterated that strikes against Hezbollah infrastructure will continue across Lebanon, including Dahieh and Tyre, wherever threats to Israeli civilians or IDF forces are identified.

⚓ During a visit to the Israeli Navy’s Haifa base alongside Navy Commander MG Eyal Harel and senior naval leadership, Zamir said he had directed the expansion of the Navy’s role as an additional long-range strategic arm of the IDF upon assuming office. He stated that implementation of the concept is now being accelerated across multiple operational theaters.

🌊 Zamir said Israeli naval forces are operating in both regional and distant maritime arenas, including missions that remain undisclosed. He described the Navy as playing a significant role in ongoing operations against Israel’s adversaries and stated that the IDF remains prepared to resume combat operations against the Iranian regime if required. According to Zamir, the Navy holds a decisive role in Israel’s ability to conduct future strikes against Iran.

🏔️ The IDF announced that forces completed a large-scale operation establishing operational control over Hezbollah’s Beaufort Ridge stronghold and the Wadi Saluki area in southern Lebanon. According to the military, the area served as a central Hezbollah command and observation hub used to direct fire toward Metula and communities in the Galilee Panhandle. The IDF stated that more than 400 launches had originated from the area since the start of Operation Roaring Lion.

🛰️ The military stated that the Beaufort Ridge complex contained extensive Iranian-backed command and control infrastructure both above and below ground. BG Effie Defrin said the operation underwent prolonged planning and was approved by Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir following detailed operational preparations.

💣 Reserve troops operating under the 91st Division continued operations throughout southern Lebanon, including raids targeting Hezbollah weapons infrastructure. During a nighttime operation, forces located a weapons warehouse containing large quantities of arms intended for attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops. The IDF stated that more than 20 Hezbollah infrastructure sites in the area were destroyed using approximately six tons of explosives.

🧨 In a separate operation, fighters from the Hasmonean Brigade dismantled a booby-trapped Hezbollah warehouse containing explosive devices. Over the past 24 hours, the IDF stated that strikes against Hezbollah operatives and infrastructure continued throughout southern Lebanon.

📊 The IDF also announced that the 146th Division completed three months of operations inside southern Lebanon’s forward defense zone. According to the military, forces eliminated more than 550 terrorists and dismantled over 2,700 Hezbollah infrastructure sites during that period. The IDF added that more than 200 weapons storage facilities were destroyed with Israeli Air Force support, while dozens of underground routes were dismantled together with the Yahalom Unit.
