🎯 IDF ELIMINATES HEZBOLLAH TERRORIST CELL IN SOUTHERN LEBANON AS ROCKET FIRE TARGETS HAIFA AREA AND NATO INTERCEPTS IRANIAN MISSILE OVER TURKEY

💥 SOUTHERN LEBANON OPERATIONS: Troops of the 226th Brigade, under the command of the 146th Division, continue targeted ground operations to strengthen the forward defensive posture in southern Lebanon. During the activity, the forces identified an armed Hezbollah terrorist cell and struck and eliminated the terrorists to remove the threat.

The troops also dismantled a Hezbollah command center and located a missile launcher and anti-tank missiles.

🚀 ROCKET FIRE TOWARD HAIFA AREA: Earlier, Hezbollah fired a barrage of five rockets toward the Krayot area near Haifa. According to the IDF, four rockets were intercepted, while one was permitted to strike an open area according to protocol. No injuries were reported.

⚠️ IRANIAN MISSILE INTERCEPTED OVER TURKEY: Turkey’s Ministry of Defense said a ballistic missile launched from Iran entered Turkish airspace and was intercepted by NATO air and missile defense systems deployed in the eastern Mediterranean. The ministry added that all necessary measures will be taken “decisively and without hesitation” against any threat to the country’s territory and airspace.

This was the fourth such incident since the start of the Iran war. Three previous interceptions earlier this month prompted Ankara to protest and warn Tehran.

⚖️ CHIEF OF STAFF CONCLUDES INQUIRY INTO SOLDIERS’ CONDUCT TOWARD JOURNALISTS IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA: Eyal Zamir concluded the inquiry into an incident involving journalists near the evacuation of an illegal outpost in Area A. The review was led by Central Command and included COGAT, the Personnel Directorate, the Military Advocate General, and the Judea and Samaria Division.

The inquiry found that the soldiers were operating to prevent friction in an area adjacent to the evacuation of an outpost established overnight. During the operation, journalists arrived together with a group of Palestinians, and soldiers conducted security checks on both groups while distinguishing between them. All individuals were released following screening, including one journalist who was initially delayed pending identification.

The inquiry identified several failures in the soldiers’ conduct toward the reporters, including inappropriate remarks by one soldier and broader deficiencies in behavior, communication, and adherence to IDF procedures. An allegation of violence by a soldier remains under further examination. Separately, an initial review found no indication that an elderly Palestinian man was harmed by IDF soldiers in a related claim.

The IDF stated that it respects freedom of the press and expressed regret over the incident, noting that direct contact was maintained with the journalists, including a personal apology. The Chief of Staff accepted the findings and determined that the incident constituted a serious ethical and professional failure that does not align with IDF values or expected standards of discipline.

As part of the response, the Chief of Staff approved command measures, including the immediate suspension of the battalion’s operational deployment. He stressed that IDF soldiers must maintain composure, discipline, and respect for their role, and said that any statements calling for revenge are unacceptable, particularly when made by armed personnel. In his remarks, Zamir said the incident was a grave ethical breach, reaffirmed that weapons are to be used solely for mission purposes and never for revenge, and emphasized that responsibility for upholding these standards rests with commanders at all levels.
