❌ IDF DEMOLISHES HOME OF TELL GUNMAN: IDF troops, Yahalom combat engineers and Border Police demolished overnight the home of Farouk Ramadan in Tell, Samaria. Ramadan seized a rifle from an Israeli security officer during a July 24 confrontation between local Palestinians and Israelis hiking in the area and opened fire, killing IDF officer Maj. Yuval Ezra, 27, and Capt. (res.) Benayahu Mellet, 32. Ezra returned fire and eliminated Ramadan. Three other Palestinians were also killed during the incident.
An IDF investigation found that Mellet, a local civil defense squad member, may have been struck by Israeli fire directed at the gunman. The IDF said it will continue proactive and offensive operations to thwart terrorism throughout Judea and Samaria and bring terrorists who target Israeli civilians to justice.
🎯 HAMAS SNIPER HIT IN NORTHERN GAZA: IDF troops identified a Hamas sniper posing an immediate threat near the Yellow Line, where troops are operating in the northern Gaza Strip, this afternoon. Troops fired toward the terrorist to remove the threat, and a hit was identified.
🔸 ISRAEL REJECTS QATAR-TURKEY OVERSIGHT IN GAZA: Responding to Nickolay Mladenov’s interview, a senior Israeli official said: “There is no chance we will allow Qatar and Turkey to oversee our conduct in the Gaza Strip.”
⚠️ THREE ISRAELI ACTIVISTS CROSS INTO SYRIA: Three activists affiliated with the Bashan Pioneers illegally crossed from the Mount Hermon area into Syrian territory overnight. IDF troops located them, returned them to Israel and transferred them to Israel Police for further handling.
The IDF strongly condemned the crossing, saying such incidents disrupt operational activity and endanger troops, and called on law enforcement authorities to bring those involved to justice and prevent repeat offenses. The group advocates Israeli settlement in southern Syria, and similar border-crossing attempts have increased in recent months. No charges have been filed against Bashan Pioneers members to date, while some coalition lawmakers have expressed support for the group despite the illegal crossings.
❗️ IDF CONDEMNS SEIZURE OF ARAB HOMES AND LAND: The IDF says Israeli civilians recently entered and took control of Arab homes and land near Qusra and Jalud in Judea and Samaria, calling the activity “illegal, reprehensible and unacceptable.” Following the incidents and disturbances, the area was declared a closed military zone for non-residents. Those involved will be handled in cooperation with security forces, and any IDF soldiers or reservists found involved will face disciplinary action.
On Monday, soldiers stopped a coordinated Palestinian ambulance at a checkpoint after identifying Israeli civilians inside allegedly attempting to enter the closed military zone under cover of the ambulance. The ambulance was inspected by the IDF and later by Israel Police. The IDF stressed that coordinated medical teams and ambulances are routinely permitted to pass without inspection.
