⚓ ISRAELI NAVY HOLDS LARGE-SCALE MEDITERRANEAN AND RED SEA DRILL: The Israeli Navy conducted a large-scale exercise this week involving warships, submarines and border-security forces in both the Mediterranean and Red seas.
The Navy said the exercise incorporated lessons drawn from fighting over the past three years. Hundreds of sailors aboard missile boats, corvettes, submarines and patrol boats participated.
Mediterranean scenarios included maritime infiltration, multi-front combat, aerial threats, use of firepower and defense of strategic assets, including gas rigs, Israeli ports and national infrastructure.
In the Red Sea, sailors trained in cooperation with the Navy’s Operations Division on scenarios intended to strengthen command capabilities, synchronization and cooperation between units.
🛡️ INTERCEPTOR MISTAKENLY LAUNCHED AT IDF FIRE: An interceptor was mistakenly launched toward a target later identified as IDF fire originating from operations inside the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. No injuries were reported.
The incident is under review. No sirens were activated, in accordance with protocol.
❌ ISRAELIS ATTACKED AFTER MISTAKENLY ENTERING JENIN AREA: Two Israeli civilians mistakenly entered the Jenin area yesterday and were attacked by Palestinian terrorists who hurled a brick at their vehicle, damaging it. No injuries were reported.
The civilians later reached IDF soldiers at the Gilboa Crossing. Following the report, IDF forces were dispatched to the Jenin area, conducted searches and apprehended wanted individuals.
🚧 APPROXIMATELY 15 ISRAELIS CROSS BORDER INTO LEBANON: Approximately 15 Israeli civilians arrived in the Ghajar area Wednesday, damaged the border fence and crossed into Lebanon. IDF and Border Police forces searched for the group, returned all of them to Israel and transferred them to the Israel Police for further handling.
“The IDF strongly condemns the incident, which constitutes another case of severe interference with operational activity and a danger to the security of IDF troops operating in the area,” the military said.
The IDF added that “law enforcement authorities are required to bring those involved to justice, to prevent these civilians from repeatedly engaging in this phenomenon, which constitutes a criminal offense.”
