🛡️ IDF CHIEF: READY FOR RAPID RETURN TO HIGH-INTENSITY COMBAT: IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir told a senior operational forum that Israel is at a “strategic crossroads,” with diplomatic negotiations underway across all major arenas following what he called the IDF’s “historic achievements.”
Zamir said the military must fully capitalize on those gains while remaining vigilant and highly prepared in defense, with immediate readiness to return to high-intensity combat. He said the IDF is continuing a structured operational plan aimed at shaping the security reality.
Zamir credited commanders and troops across the ground, air, sea, intelligence, communications and logistics branches with changing Israel’s security reality since October 7. The forum included a multi-front operational and intelligence assessment, lessons from recent fighting and planning for continued operations.
CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper also participated, highlighting the “historic” U.S.-Israel military partnership. Zamir described cooperation with the U.S. military as unprecedented and a strategic anchor.
🪖 IDF MILITARY RABBINATE GRADUATES 78 NEW OFFICERS: Seventy-eight cadets, ranging in age from 23 to over 50, completed the IDF Military Rabbis Course and received lieutenant or captain ranks.
The six-week program combines three weeks of combat-command training with three weeks of halachic and professional instruction, preparing rabbis to serve as officers alongside maneuvering battalions. Their responsibilities include kashrut, Shabbat procedures, religious and spiritual support, and operational halachic decisions.
During wartime, battalion rabbis are also trained for battlefield casualty identification and evacuation and to make rulings based on the full operational picture, including whether combat-support personnel should eat or drink on fast days before major operations.
The course concluded with an intensive day-and-night field exercise in Ben Shemen Forest involving navigation, full combat equipment, kashrut, halacha, casualty identification and burial scenarios. Many graduates have already completed five to seven reserve rotations. About 20% are expected to volunteer for career service, while the remainder will return to reserve duty with their battalions.
🛡️ RAMON AIRPORT SIREN TEST TONIGHT: A Home Front Command siren test will take place at 11:30 PM in the Ramon Airport area. If a real alert is activated, an alert will be issued through the Home Front Command app and additional warning systems.
