❌ Additional Hezbollah tunnel routes dismantled in southern Lebanon: IDF troops from the 551st Brigade and the Yahalom Unit dismantled two additional underground tunnel routes in the Majdal Zoun area within the security zone, where forces continue operating to eliminate threats to Israeli civilians.
The findings indicate the area had been heavily fortified and contained extensive terrorist infrastructure. In addition to a significant tunnel previously dismantled there, the two newly destroyed tunnel routes had a combined length of approximately 200 meters and reached a depth of about 20 meters.
Inside, troops discovered living quarters, three launch shafts aimed toward Israeli territory, and dozens of weapons. During additional searches, forces also located a cache of mortars, launchers, RPG rockets, and other weapons.
Over the past week, brigade troops also eliminated an armed terrorist near one of the tunnel routes.
🎯 Islamic Jihad production commander and Hamas sniper eliminated in Gaza: The IDF announced that it eliminated Rashid Al-Qadhi, a commander in the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist organization's Production Array, during a strike in the southern Gaza Strip yesterday.
According to the IDF, Al-Qadhi played a central role in the production and supply of weapons for the terrorist organization's military wing and was responsible for efforts to manufacture weapons intended for attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
In a separate strike yesterday in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF eliminated Abdullah Baha al-Din Razak Al-Souti, a sniper operative in Hamas' military wing. The IDF said the terrorists' recent activities posed a threat to troops operating in the area, and they were struck from the air to remove that threat.
🎯 October 7 terrorist involved in kidnappings and hostage captivity eliminated: The IDF and the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) announced the elimination of Waheed Abu Salam, who previously served as the commander of the Western Company in Khan Yunis.
According to the IDF, Abu Salam infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre, participated in the abduction of Israeli civilians into Gaza, and was involved in holding them captive throughout the war in the southern Gaza Strip.
The IDF said he had recently advanced additional attacks, including efforts to rehabilitate weapons intended to target Israeli forces, posed an immediate threat to troops, and was eliminated in a precise aerial strike.
❗️ Suspected kidnapping of IDF servicewoman determined to be false alarm: Police responded to reports that an armed Israeli servicewoman had entered a vehicle with Palestinian license plates in the Gush Etzion area of Judea and Samaria, raising suspicions of a possible kidnapping.
Officers intercepted the vehicle on Route 375 near Beitar Illit and found the soldier safe and unharmed.
A preliminary investigation determined that the soldier and the Palestinian driver are a couple. The case has been transferred to the Military Police for further investigation. The soldier's weapon was confiscated, and both individuals were taken to a nearby police station.
