❌ IDF: HAMAS USING NASSER HOSPITAL FOR INTERROGATIONS AND TORTURE: The IDF says intelligence shows Hamas is conducting interrogations and torture inside Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis. According to the IDF, Hamas has identified declining support among Gaza residents and fears losing its grip over the population, leading it to intensify the activities of its security apparatus and attempt to enforce its rule through intimidation, interrogations and torture.
According to the information released, Hamas’ Internal Security Forces and military intelligence are conducting interrogations in the Yassin building on the second floor of the hospital’s outpatient clinics. Hamas is also using the hospital as a governing center unrelated to its medical function for interrogations, torture and extortion.
The IDF says Nasser Hospital continues to serve as central military infrastructure for Hamas in the southern Gaza Strip. Patients and hospital staff have witnessed a permanent presence of Hamas terrorists, including masked operatives, throughout areas of the compound. The IDF says this use of the hospital instills fear and endangers patients, healthcare providers and medical staff.
Additional interrogations are reportedly taking place in a building that formerly housed hospital offices, was later used as a cafeteria, then converted into a prayer room, and is now being used by Hamas as an interrogation center.
The IDF says Hamas’ exploitation of civilian infrastructure for interrogations and torture is a widespread practice and that its military use of hospitals violates international law. It warned Gaza residents that Hamas, fearing the loss of control over the Gaza Strip, is exploiting hospitals, schools and other civilian facilities for its own purposes, harming residents in locations intended to serve them. The IDF also released an illustration identifying the facility inside Nasser Hospital.
