❌ STABBING ATTACK NEAR AL-AUJA: An Israeli man was moderately wounded in a stabbing attack near Al-Auja in the Jordan Valley this morning. Magen David Adom said its medics treated the 24-year-old and evacuated him to a hospital in moderate condition.
According to a preliminary IDF investigation, the victim had stopped along the nearby highway to go shopping when he was stabbed. Footage from the incident shows the terrorist pulling out a knife, stabbing the man and fleeing.
IDF forces launched a manhunt across the Al-Auja and Jericho areas. Security roadblocks were established on nearby roads, while soldiers are questioning suspects and carrying out intelligence collection activities to locate the terrorist. The military remains in contact with residents and local security officials.
The IDF said special forces and Israeli Air Force aircraft were deployed to assist in the search. Police also dispatched forces to the scene. The IDF and police initially said the circumstances of the stabbing were under investigation.
⚠️ KATZ ORDERS FORCEFUL RESPONSE TO GAZA KITES, BALLOONS AND DRONES: Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF to act forcefully against balloons, kites or drones launched from Gaza toward Israeli communities near the border.
According to the Defense Minister’s Office, the instructions include targeting Hamas leaders responsible for the launches and those carrying them out, evacuating neighborhoods and areas from which launches are conducted, and acting against terrorist infrastructure there.
Katz said: “I have instructed the IDF to act immediately and forcefully against any launches from Gaza toward communities in the western Negev. We regard every launch as an act of war in every respect and are committed to the absolute defense of Israeli communities. A balloon will be treated the same as a kite, and a kite the same as a drone—with or without explosives. We will not allow a return to the reality that existed before October 7, and anyone who organizes, launches, or enables these launches will be dealt with immediately and with the utmost severity.”
Over the weekend, at least four kites flown from Gaza landed in Kibbutz Nahal Oz. The IDF said nothing suspicious was found on the kites and there was no danger to the public. An eighth kite was counted in the Gaza border area this morning, landing in an agricultural field near Kfar Aza.
From 2018, Palestinian terrorists regularly launched kites carrying incendiary devices toward Israeli border communities, setting fire to wide areas of land.
