The IDF says about 30 rockets have been fired from Lebanon at northern Israel since this morning, and four people were lightly injured in attacks on the north.
🔸 REPORTS OF U.S. PRESSURE TO REDUCE STRIKES IN LEBANON: NBC, citing a U.S. official, reported that President Trump asked Prime Minister Netanyahu to scale back strikes on Lebanon to help ensure the success of negotiations with Iran. Israeli Channel 13, quoting Trump, reported that Netanyahu will reduce the pace of fighting in Lebanon.
⚠️ IDF REPEATS EVACUATION WARNING FOR BEIRUT’S SOUTHERN SUBURBS: The Israeli military reiterated its evacuation warning for the Dahiyeh ahead of airstrikes. "The IDF continues to operate and attack the military infrastructure belonging to the Hezbollah terror organization throughout the Dahiyeh. The IDF does not intend to harm you, and therefore, for your safety, you must evacuate immediately," warned army spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee.
‼️ MORE THAN 24 HOURS SINCE THE LATEST WARNING WITHOUT STRIKES: No strikes have been carried out despite more than 24 hours having passed since the IDF issued its latest evacuation warning for Beirut’s southern suburbs. The Israeli Air Force has struck hundreds of Hezbollah targets in the Dahiyeh over the past month, and the military has repeatedly called on civilians to leave the area.
‼️ NETANYAHU SAYS FIGHTING WILL CONTINUE AND DIRECT TALKS WITH LEBANON WILL BEGIN: Prime Minister Netanyahu said: “We will not stop fighting in Lebanon until the security of northern residents is restored, Hezbollah is disarmed, and a peace agreement is achieved. The major accomplishments against Iran and the ‘axis of evil’ have led to a historic shift in Israel’s standing in the region and transformed our relations with countries previously outside our diplomatic circle. I have directed the security cabinet to start direct negotiations with Lebanon following requests from its government. These negotiations aim to disarm Hezbollah and achieve a historic, sustainable peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon.” Netanyahu is also requesting to postpone his testimony in the trial for the next two weeks due to the current situation.
