β οΈ Iran has threatened to widen the conflict throughout the region. Two Iranian officials said a major U.S. strike could lead to attacks on Tel Aviv and Houthi efforts to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
Tehran also rejected a temporary U.S. ceasefire proposal delivered by Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi after his White House visit, reportedly because the proposal did not resolve control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump said damage to ships, cargo and related property would be compensated using Iranian assets held by the United States. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi called the proposal an incendiary precedent and warned that normalizing the confiscation of state assets would create broader instability.
π₯ U.S. forces continued extensive strikes on Iranian military and maritime capabilities. CENTCOM said the operation marked the 12th consecutive night of attacks and was intended to reduce Iranβs ability to threaten commercial shipping and civilian mariners.
The targets included two military command centers, three drone and missile storage sites, eight communications networks, three coastal-surveillance systems, one radar and 34 maritime assets. CENTCOM described the operation as one of the largest since the war resumed.
Since restoring the naval blockade nine days earlier, U.S. forces have redirected 12 commercial vessels and disabled one to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas.
π Iranian warnings prompted additional international security measures. The IRGC advised civilians to remain at least 500 meters from locations hosting U.S. military personnel, whether openly or covertly stationed. Germany urged its citizens to leave Iran.
The United Kingdom said its armed forces were prepared to defend the country after Iran threatened consequences if British bases were made available to the United States. Iran specifically referenced RAF Fairford, from which a B1 bomber reportedly launched an attack against Iran this week.
π― The IDF and Shin Bet destroyed Hamas weapons and underground infrastructure in Gaza. Overnight strikes targeted storage facilities, a weapons-production site and underground infrastructure in several areas of the Strip.
The sites contained Kalashnikov rifles, RPGs, mortar shells, explosive devices and additional combat equipment intended for attacks against IDF troops near the Yellow Line and Israeli civilians. Secondary explosions confirmed that weapons had been stored at the targeted locations.
π A prayer for Israel and the region. With the coming hours and weekend carrying heightened risk, we pray for the protection of Israel and its people, the safety of security and emergency personnel, and the success of every necessary defensive, preemptive or responsive operation.
May HaShem protect Israel from every threat, and may the coming days pass safely and peacefully.
Shabbat Shalom.
