🎯 U.S. MILITARY CAMPAIGN IN IRAN: More than 30 U.S. fighter jets participated in a new operation against Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps targets after Iranian missile strikes killed two American soldiers in Jordan.
U.S. Central Command said the strikes were ordered to further degrade Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and punish the IRGC forces responsible for the attacks in Jordan.
CENTCOM completed another round at 11:30 p.m. ET on July 18, marking the eighth consecutive night of U.S. attacks. Targets included coastal-surveillance and air-defense facilities, maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage sites, and IRGC forces connected to the July 17 attacks.
Iranian media reported strikes near Sirik, Haji Abad, Qeshm Island, Bandar Abbas, and Bandar Lengeh, along with fighter-jet activity over Kish Island. Hormozgan officials acknowledged reports of explosions but said they had not verified evidence of American airstrikes.
Tasnim reported between three and five strikes on Qeshm Island and said at least six missiles hit areas on its outskirts. Iranian outlets later reported renewed U.S. fighter-jet attacks on the island.
Asked about reports that Iran was no longer complying with the memorandum of understanding, President Trump responded: “I couldn't care less.”
🚀 IRANIAN THREATS AND GULF ATTACKS: Iran informed Saudi Arabia and Oman that it intends to inflict “significant damage” on the United Arab Emirates, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The Iranian Army separately claimed that large-scale drone attacks targeted a U.S. ammunition depot at Kuwait’s Al-Adiri camp and Patriot and air-surveillance radars at Ali Al-Salem Air Base.
Kuwait said its air defenses engaged Iranian missiles and drones. Two U.S. Air Force refueling aircraft were reportedly evacuated from Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and transferred to Israel amid concerns that Iran could target them.
🛡️ MISSILE FIRE TOWARD AQABA AND EILAT: Iran launched four ballistic missiles toward Aqaba in southern Jordan, adjacent to Israeli territory. Jordan said three were intercepted and the fourth landed in an open area, with American air-defense systems reportedly participating.
The IDF launched Iron Dome interceptors against missile debris that could have fallen inside Israel and threatened Eilat. It warned beforehand that the attack could produce spillover into Israeli territory and potentially trigger sirens in the south.
Residents were instructed to enter protected spaces if sirens sounded. No sirens were activated, and fragments were later found in an open area near Eilat without causing injuries or damage.
The incident ended without changes to Home Front Command guidelines.
