💥 LEBANON STRIKES FOLLOW REPORTED DEADLY EXPLOSION: At least two soldiers from the 55th Brigade were reportedly killed and seven wounded when an explosive device detonated inside a previously secured, booby-trapped building in Majdal Zoun, southern Lebanon. Lebanese outlets reported casualty evacuations to Rambam Hospital, but official Israeli confirmation remains pending and the circumstances have not been clarified.
The IDF later ordered residents of Al-Mansouri to move at least one kilometer north before striking Hezbollah targets. Arabic-language spokeswoman Lt. Col. Ella Waweya said Hezbollah had committed a “blatant violation” of the ceasefire, although the military has not disclosed the specific violation or confirmed whether it was connected to the explosion.
Lebanese media reported one person killed and 11 wounded in an Israeli strike in Tebnine. Lebanon’s National News Agency said a prayer room in the town cemetery was hit.
⚠️ FURTHER RESPONSE AWAITS POLITICAL APPROVAL: The IDF has requested authorization for an additional large-scale operation in Lebanon, according to Channel 12 and Ynet. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu consulted Defense Minister Israel Katz, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir and other senior defense officials regarding further action.
An Israeli official said the response to Hezbollah’s alleged violation was not complete, but that the proposed operation required political-level approval.
🧨 HEZBOLLAH TUNNEL AND WEAPONS INFRASTRUCTURE DISMANTLED: During operations in the southern Lebanon Security Zone, IDF troops dismantled a Hezbollah tunnel extending dozens of meters near Srobbin. The military said it had been used to prepare attacks against Israeli forces.
Troops separately located a weapons facility containing launchers, rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, anti-tank rockets and other military equipment.
🚷 ACTIVISTS CROSS ILLEGALLY INTO LEBANON: Around 10 young female activists crossed into Lebanon near Ghajar, according to the IDF. Most were returned to Israel while troops searched for several others, and all were to be transferred to police for questioning.
The activists belong to the Uri Tzafon Movement, which advocates Jewish settlement in southern Lebanon. Members have carried out similar illegal crossings in recent months while receiving support from coalition lawmakers.
❗ SOLDIER SERIOUSLY WOUNDED IN TRAINING-BASE SHOOTING: A soldier was severely wounded by an apparent accidental discharge at the Hasmonean Brigade’s training base in the Jordan Valley. Military Police are investigating whether the incident resulted from weapon mishandling or soldiers playing with a firearm.
The findings will be transferred to the Military Advocate General for review.
