⚠️ ISRAEL INTERCEPTS HEZBOLLAH DRONES OVER NAHARIYA AS IDF INVESTIGATES ARMED INFILTRATION FROM LEBANON AND CEASEFIRE TALKS FACE DISPUTES

❗️ Israeli air defenses intercepted aerial threats over Nahariya without sirens being activated, according to Yedioth Ahronoth. Israeli media reported that two drones launched by Hezbollah from southern Lebanon were intercepted.

⚠️ "Time is running out and the Americans might decide at any moment to halt operations in Lebanon — as much as possible must be accomplished before then," Channel 12 reported.

🔸 Communications surrounding a U.S. proposal on Lebanon intensified following objections from Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah’s rejection of parts of the draft framework, according to Al Jadeed. The proposal reportedly included Israeli demands to remove around 2,300 Hezbollah members south of the Litani River based on Israeli-provided lists, which Hezbollah rejected as inaccurate.

Additional clauses reportedly included a proposed “strike-for-strike” escalation mechanism involving Beirut’s southern suburbs and Israel’s unilateral response rights. Lebanese parties rejected both provisions.

Implementation plans reportedly suggested beginning in the Zawtar sector. Lebanon preferred treating the entire south Litani zone as one operational framework, with phased security deployment up to 2 kilometers from the border.

Hezbollah reportedly expressed conditional engagement with the framework but insisted on coordination with Iranian Revolutionary Guard-linked structures and follow-up mechanisms based on prior Pakistani negotiation models.

❌ The IDF completed an initial investigation into the armed infiltration incident along the Lebanese border earlier today, but has not yet determined the gunman’s affiliation.

According to the investigation, at around 1:30 p.m., a logistical transport soldier arrived near Margaliot after reports of a fire in the area. The soldier identified a suspicious figure in military uniform and dispatched forces to the scene.

Troops arrived within minutes and came under gunfire. They returned fire and killed the gunman.

The incident took place inside Israeli territory in a military zone around 1,200 meters from Margaliot. During scans, troops located the gunman’s body inside an abandoned guard post adjacent to the border fence.

The gunman was wearing a military uniform and was armed with a handgun and a knife. The IDF said it has not yet determined whether he was affiliated with Hezbollah or another terror group.

At 5:50 p.m., the IDF declared an all-clear after ruling out additional threats.

A preliminary investigation was conducted by IDF commanders shortly after the incident. Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo later completed a broader debrief, and the incident is also expected to be reviewed by IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir.

A source told Israeli Broadcasting Authority: "Assessments indicate that the armed infiltrator who crossed the border from Lebanon planned to infiltrate a town in northern Israel. The armed infiltrator was discovered by chance".
