⚠️ IDF TESTS MULTI-FRONT READINESS AS EILAT DRILL IS PLANNED AND IRAN WARNS U.S. FORCES

🛡️ IDF LAUNCHES SURPRISE MULTI-FRONT READINESS EXERCISE: IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir launched “Breaking Dawn 2.0,” a surprise General Staff exercise testing the military’s readiness for a sudden, complex and large-scale multi-front scenario ahead of the upcoming Jewish holiday period. The drill is assessing the General Staff, regional commands, branches and directorates, including command decision-making, activation of standby forces and reserves, operational plans and the ability to respond rapidly across multiple arenas.

Commanders and forces have been mobilized, reserve readiness is being assessed, and IDF Comptroller officers are inspecting units and headquarters. Increased movement of troops and aircraft may be noticed across Israel; the IDF stressed there is no indication of an actual security incident.

The exercise is part of the Operations Directorate’s 2026 training program and incorporates lessons from October 7 and subsequent combat across multiple fronts while taking place alongside ongoing operational activity.

Zamir said Israel is in a “tense and volatile period across all arenas,” adding that the IDF’s baseline posture is “readiness for a surprise attack.” He said the exercise simulates a multi-arena war and tests readiness “from the General Staff level down to the level of units in the field,” calling it a significant component of preparations for the holiday period.

🛡️ LARGE-SCALE EILAT SECURITY DRILL PLANNED FOR TOMORROW: The IDF and Israel Police announced a large-scale, pre-planned exercise in Eilat and the surrounding area. Security forces, aircraft and vessels will have an increased presence as forces “practice a variety of complex extreme scenarios in the air, at sea and on land, with an emphasis on protecting communities and the Eilat city area.”

⚠️ IRAN WARNS OF STRONGER, BROADER STRIKES ON U.S. MILITARY VESSELS: Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesman for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned: “We warn the American terrorist army that if it continues its malicious actions, creates insecurity, interferes with Iranian vessels, and maintains its naval blockade of Iran, the Iranian Armed Forces will launch more severe strikes against U.S. military vessels in the region, with the possibility that the attacks could expand in scope.”
