💥 HEZBOLLAH DRONE INTERCEPTED; IDF STRIKES SOUTHERN LEBANON: Hezbollah terrorists yesterday launched a drone toward IDF soldiers operating in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. IDF soldiers opened fire and downed the drone. No IDF injuries were reported. The IDF called the attempted attack a blatant Hezbollah violation.
In response, the IDF struck Hezbollah terrorists and infrastructure in southern Lebanon last night, including weapons storage facilities intended for use by Hezbollah terrorists to plan and direct terror attacks against IDF soldiers in the Security Zone and Israeli civilians. The IDF said the strikes were carried out to remove an immediate threat and were in response to Hezbollah’s attempted drone attack.
🛡️ INTERCEPTOR LAUNCHED AT FALSE TARGET OVER SOUTHERN GAZA: An interceptor was launched toward what was later identified as a false target caused by IDF fire during operations in the southern Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported. No sirens were sounded in nearby communities in accordance with protocol, and the incident is under review.
⚓ CENTCOM STRIKES THREE IRANIAN OIL CARRIERS AFTER IRGC MISSILE ATTACKS: CENTCOM said U.S. forces struck three Iranian crude oil carriers on Sept. 5 after the IRGC launched ballistic missiles toward two U.S. Navy warships patrolling regional waters. A U.S. aircraft carrier and guided-missile destroyer successfully evaded multiple attacks, with no American personnel harmed.
Following the failed attacks, U.S. forces permanently disabled the IRGC-linked M/T Downy off Kharg Island and M/T Stark 1 near Jask, while completely destroying the unladen M/T Kylo, also known as the “Noxen,” in the Gulf of Oman after its crew was directed to abandon ship. CENTCOM said the vessels were part of a multibillion-dollar shadow network funding the IRGC and its regional proxies.
CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper said: “Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost—taking out three of yours. We will not hesitate to defend American forces, and if necessary, destroy Iran’s limited and exposed oil fleet.”
Separately, Iran’s Tasnim News Agency reported that an Iranian oil tanker approximately six miles off Kharg Island was struck by four U.S. missiles this morning. No casualties were reported, the crew was evacuating, and the extent of the damage was still being assessed.
U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth echoed the warning, saying: “If Iran fires on our ships, we will destroy and sink their oil tankers.”
