💥 HEZBOLLAH DRONES TARGET IDF TROOPS; IDF STRIKES SOUTHERN LEBANON: Hezbollah terrorists launched two explosive drones toward IDF soldiers operating in the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. IDF soldiers opened fire and downed one of the drones. No IDF injuries were reported. The IDF described the attack as a blatant violation by Hezbollah and carried out strikes in southern Lebanon in response.
The IDF issued an "urgent warning" to residents of Arab Salim ahead of an airstrike against Hezbollah. The warning applied to one building and the surrounding area. IDF Arabic-language spokeswoman Lt. Col. Ella Waweya said it followed "the blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement by the Hezbollah terror organization, after it launched an explosive-laden drone toward IDF troops." Residents were instructed to evacuate at least 300 meters from the building, which the IDF said belonged to Hezbollah.
The IDF said it struck Hezbollah terrorists, weapons storage facilities and terrorist structures intended for use in planning and directing attacks within the Security Zone. It also struck a Hezbollah command center established inside a building previously used as a hospital in southern Lebanon.
According to the IDF, Hezbollah terrorists involved in artillery and observation activities had been operating from the command center in recent weeks. The military said Hezbollah was using medical infrastructure to advance terrorist attacks and that the targeted sites were being used to threaten IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.
The IDF also said the strikes followed Hezbollah’s attempted attack against soldiers operating in the Ali Taher Ridge area, during which two explosive drones were launched toward the troops. No IDF injuries were reported.
Before the strikes, the IDF said measures were taken to mitigate harm to civilians, including the use of precise munitions and aerial surveillance.
Lebanese media reported that an Israeli airstrike destroyed Ghandour Hospital in Nabatieh al-Fawqa, saying the facility was empty of patients and staff. Lebanese health authorities reported four people killed and 20 wounded in Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon since this morning.
❌ HAMAS CELL APPREHENDED; ROCKET, RIFLE AND EXPLOSIVES FOUND IN JUDEA AND SAMARIA: The Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), IDF and Yamam completed a counterterrorism operation in the Akraba area, apprehending a Hamas terrorist cell consisting of 10 terrorists who security forces said had been working to advance attacks against Israeli civilians.
During the operation, forces located a rocket without a launcher and immediately dismantled it. Following questioning, one of the detained terrorists revealed the location of a weapons cache containing an M16 rifle and a large quantity of explosives intended for producing explosive devices. The weapons and explosives were also dismantled at the scene.
In a separate police and military account, the village was identified as Aqqaba. Yamam officers and IDF troops carried out the raid following intelligence provided by the Shin Bet regarding a Hamas network in the area. The 10 suspects were taken for Shin Bet questioning, while police sappers destroyed the rocket and other weapons at the scene.
