🚨 IRANIAN MISSILE BARRAGES ON NORTHERN ISRAEL FOLLOW BEIRUT STRIKE

🎯 Following the Israeli strike in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district, the IDF raised readiness levels across multiple fronts and prepared for potential Iranian retaliation. Defensive and offensive systems were placed on heightened alert while IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir and senior commanders conducted ongoing situational assessments. The Home Front Command instructed civilians to remain vigilant and closely follow official directives.

⚠️ Iranian officials and affiliated military figures issued a series of threats after the Beirut strike. National Security Commission spokesman Ebrahim Rezaei warned of a “decisive and painful response,” while the commander of Iran’s Seal of the Prophets Headquarters threatened broader attacks if Israeli operations in Lebanon continued. Iran-backed militias in Iraq also warned that American bases and interests across the region could be targeted if the United States intervenes militarily.

🚀 Iran later launched several salvos of ballistic missiles toward Israeli territory. Sirens were activated across northern and central regions, including the Galilee, Golan Heights, Carmel, valleys, Samaria, Wadi Ara, Menashe, and the Bay area. The Home Front Command distributed emergency alerts directly to mobile phones, instructing residents to enter protected spaces and remain there until further notice.

🛡️ Israeli air defense systems and the Israeli Air Force operated throughout the evening to intercept incoming threats. The military emphasized that defensive coverage is not hermetic and instructed the public to avoid publishing footage or impact locations while interception operations continued. Iranian media reported that the launches originated from the Qom region.

📍 According to the IDF, approximately 10 ballistic missiles were launched toward northern Israel over several salvos during the evening, followed later by additional launches. The military stated that all missiles were either intercepted or fell in open areas. No fatalities or major damage were initially reported, though Magen David Adom later confirmed an impact site near the Kfar Yehoshua train station without casualties. Several civilians were treated for injuries sustained while moving to protected spaces.

🏠 Following additional situational assessments, the Home Front Command later announced that civilians nationwide could leave protected spaces while remaining close to shelters. Shelters remained open across the country as Israeli authorities monitored the possibility of further launches.

🇮🇷 The IRGC stated that its Aerospace Force targeted Israel’s Ramat David Airbase, which it described as the source of attacks on southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs. The organization also claimed that its acceptance of the April 8 ceasefire had depended on an end to hostilities, while accusing Israel and the United States of violating understandings through continued strikes and regional maritime activity. Iran’s Civil Aviation Authority subsequently closed western Iranian airspace until further notice.

🇮🇱 Israeli officials signaled that Israel intends to respond to the missile fire. Sources cited by the Israeli Broadcasting Authority stated that retaliatory measures were expected, while senior officials told Israeli media that Tehran was attempting to establish “a new equation of limited and measured fire” that Israel would not accept. Prime Minister Netanyahu held security consultations during the evening, and Transportation Minister Miri Regev convened emergency discussions regarding civil aviation preparedness. Ben Gurion Airport remained operational at the time, though officials acknowledged that airspace closure remained under consideration if the situation deteriorates.
