🛡️ IRANIAN BALLISTIC MISSILE STRIKE INJURES 19 NEAR JERUSALEM AFTER INTERCEPTION FAILURE AS U.S. SIGNALS EXIT FROM IRAN WHILE DEPLOYING NAVAL AND AMPHIBIOUS FORCES TO THE REGION

❗️FATALITY AND MISSILE IMPACT IN ISRAEL: Vyacheslav Vidmant, 52, from Ashdod, was the man killed yesterday by a rocket strike in Tel Aviv. He had been guarding a building that was damaged at the start of the war.

In Eshtaol, near Beit Shemesh, 19 people were lightly injured by a missile strike earlier this afternoon. The Israeli Air Force is investigating why interception efforts failed to down the Iranian ballistic missile before impact.

According to the military, the missile carried a conventional warhead of several hundred kilograms of explosives, not a cluster munition. Air defense systems attempted interception but were unsuccessful.

Rescue services report that the blast caused widespread damage to several buildings and a parking lot within an estimated 150-meter radius.

♟️ U.S. POSITION AND MILITARY MOVEMENTS: The U.S. Vice President said: “President Trump was clear that we do not want to stay in Iran after one or two years and that we will leave soon.”

He also said: “We have achieved the majority of our military objectives in Iran, and it can be said that all these goals have been accomplished.”

Reuters reported that President Trump threatened a major military escalation if negotiations with Iran fail. He also referred to the Strait of Hormuz as the “Strait of Trump” and said: “I believe the regime change in Iran has already happened, and we will leave at some point.”

CENTCOM said: "U.S. Sailors and Marines aboard USS Tripoli (LHA 7) arrived in the U.S. Central Command area of responsibility, March 27. The America-class amphibious assault ship serves as the flagship for the Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group/31st Marine Expeditionary Unit composed of about 3,500 Sailors and Marines in addition to transport and strike fighter aircraft, as well as amphibious assault and tactical assets".

CBS News, citing sources, reported that Washington will send the aircraft carrier USS George Bush to the military operations area against Iran.

♟️ REGIONAL AND GLOBAL CONTEXT: Kan News reported that 70% of Iran's military industry has been destroyed, with 90% of critical assets expected to be gone within days.

Politico, citing European officials, reported that the Trump administration informed them weapons supplies to Ukraine could be disrupted due to the war with Iran.

The Guardian reported that European intelligence agencies believe Russia is preparing to supply drones to Iran for use in its war with the U.S. and Israel.

⚠️ CEASEFIRE TERMS EMERGE AS A CENTRAL DISPUTE: According to Amit Segal, the central question is no longer whether the war will continue, but how it will end, either through an agreement or a unilateral ceasefire that would still involve behind-the-scenes coordination.

A significant parallel development is that Hezbollah is reportedly pressing Iran to ensure that any ceasefire arrangement, including a unilateral one, includes a full halt to Israeli strikes against the group. Israel, however, is conveying to the United States that this condition will not be accepted.

Israeli officials view continued operational freedom against Hezbollah as essential to their strategic objectives. Israel assesses that in 2024 it succeeded in disconnecting the Gaza and Lebanon fronts, and that its current 2026 objective is to sever the link between Tehran and Beirut by targeting Hezbollah’s direct connection to Iran.

The disagreement over whether Israeli strikes must stop as part of a ceasefire remains a central and unresolved point of contention.
