💥 SOUTHERN LEBANON EXPLOSION: At least two soldiers from the 55th Brigade were reportedly killed and seven others wounded when an explosive device detonated inside a previously secured, booby-trapped building in Majdal Zoun, southern Lebanon.
Military helicopters and three ground vehicles were reportedly documented evacuating casualties to Rambam Hospital in Haifa, according to Bint Jbeil Channel and cross-reports citing Hadashot Bezman.
Following the deadly explosion, the Israeli Air Force carried out strikes in the village of Al Mansouri in southern Lebanon.
Official confirmation of the casualties remains pending. The exact circumstances of the explosion and the reported IDF assertion of a “blatant ceasefire violation” by Hezbollah have not yet been clarified.
❌ ACTIVISTS ILLEGALLY CROSS INTO LEBANON: Around 10 young female settlement activists illegally crossed into Lebanon near Ghajar on Wednesday afternoon, according to the IDF.
Most were located and escorted back to Israel, while troops continued searching for several others. All will be transferred to police for further questioning.
The activists belong to the Uri Tzafon Movement, a Religious Zionist organization advocating Jewish settlement in southern Lebanon in areas it claims belong to the Jewish people. Members of the movement have illegally crossed into Lebanon several times in recent months while receiving support from coalition lawmakers.
❌ DOZENS OF ROCKETS FOUND INSIDE GAZA TUNNEL: Paratroopers Brigade troops operating under the Gaza Division located an underground terrorist route containing dozens of rockets belonging to terrorist organizations in the southern Gaza Strip.
The tunnel was dismantled in cooperation with engineering forces from the Gaza Division and the Yahalom Unit. The operation was conducted as part of efforts to clear terrorist infrastructure above and below ground in the Yellow Line area.
The IDF said Southern Command troops are deployed in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue operating to remove any immediate threat.
The IDF released body-camera footage from an Oketz Unit K9 inside the tunnel and footage showing the route’s dismantling.
🛡️ KATZ BLOCKS REDUCTION OF GAZA BORDER RESERVISTS: Defense Minister Israel Katz instructed the IDF not to proceed with a planned reduction in active-duty reservists serving in civil defense squads in Gaza border communities.
The IDF had sought to release members of local security teams from reserve duty on all fronts, arguing that their continued service was superfluous and costly. The squads remain armed outside active reserve duty, while two IDF divisions are operating in Gaza.
Katz said the IDF would not carry out any further reduction in forces until otherwise decided, “in order to preserve the residents’ sense of security.”
