⚠️ IRAN WARNS AGAINST BEIRUT STRIKES AS ISRAEL EXPANDS NORTHERN READINESS MEASURES

⚠️ IRANIAN POSITION ON LEBANON AND NEGOTIATIONS: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqhchi warned that any Israeli strike on Beirut’s Dahiyeh district would lead to a “full resumption of the war.” He said Iran had previously placed its armed forces on full alert following Israeli threats against Beirut and confirmed that communications with the Americans regarding Lebanon continue despite stalled negotiations.

Araqhchi stated that a return to negotiations depends on securing what he described as “the rights of the Iranian people,” ending the war in Lebanon, and reducing broader regional tensions.

🇱🇧 LEBANON CEASEFIRE AND UNIFIL INCIDENT: UNIFIL announced that one peacekeeper was killed and two others wounded after mortar fire struck a UN position near Marjayoun overnight. The wounded peacekeeper later died after evacuation to Beirut.

The IDF said trajectory analysis showed the launches originated from the Al-Qatrani area and landed inside a UNIFIL position in Dibbine. According to the military, the fire was carried out by Hezbollah and endangered international forces operating in the area.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun described the current ceasefire effort as a possible “last chance for peace,” stating implementation could begin within 24 hours if all parties approve the arrangement.

🪖 IDF NORTHERN READINESS AND OPERATIONS: IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir said Israel remains in a “multi-front state of readiness,” with significant forces and operational capabilities concentrated in the northern arena.

Zamir stated that Israel has weakened Iran and its regional axis “to an unprecedented degree,” while Hezbollah — described as a central pillar of Iranian influence — has sustained major damage. He said the IDF continues offensive and defensive operations against Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon, including recent activity in the Beaufort Ridge area.

The Chief of Staff reiterated the IDF’s “no containment” policy, stating that Israeli forces continue acting proactively against infiltration attempts, anti-tank threats, and other emerging dangers targeting northern communities.

🐾 DRONE-DETECTION DOG PROGRAM TESTED: The Israel Dog Unit launched a pilot program training service dogs to detect and alert troops to approaching drones before impact. According to Israel National News, the initiative is intended to supplement ongoing IDF efforts against Hezbollah UAV activity.

🇮🇱 FEMALE SOLDIER COMPLETES SAYERET MATKAL TRACK: The IDF announced that one female combat soldier completed a specially designed Sayeret Matkal training track launched in December 2024 as part of broader efforts to open additional combat roles to women.

According to the military, the servicewoman completed all required screening and training stages over more than a year and a half and is expected to join operational activity under existing IDF mixed-service protocols.

💰 GOVERNMENT APPROVES NORTHERN REHABILITATION PLAN: The Israeli government approved a multi-year rehabilitation and fortification program for northern communities along the confrontation line.

More than 13 billion shekels were allocated for immediate protection measures, long-term fortification, economic recovery, and regional development across the north.
