đŸ’Ĩ IDF STRIKES HEZBOLLAH INFRASTRUCTURE ACROSS SOUTHERN LEBANON AS BORDER INCIDENTS CONTINUE

đŸŽ¯ IDF operations in southern Lebanon expanded over Shabbat, with approximately 150 Hezbollah infrastructure sites struck across the region. Targets included weapons storage facilities, command centers, rocket launchers, and additional operational infrastructure used to direct attacks against IDF forces.

Following rocket fire toward northern Israel, the IDF dismantled the launchers used in the attack after two projectiles crossed into Israeli territory and were intercepted near Yiftah and Ramot Naftali. Ahead of additional planned strikes, the IDF issued evacuation instructions for large sections of Tyre and surrounding suburbs, directing residents north of the Zahrani River. The military later confirmed strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Dahieh area.

âš”ī¸ Several close-quarters encounters were reported between IDF forces and Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon. During an exchange of fire involving the Givati Brigade Reconnaissance Unit in Zawtar al-Sharqiyah, one officer was severely wounded and the unit commander, a lieutenant colonel, sustained light injuries. Following the encounter, IDF troops conducted searches in the area and eliminated two terrorists connected to the incident while additional Hezbollah infrastructure was targeted nearby.

In a separate confrontation the same morning, another IDF officer was severely wounded and an additional officer lightly wounded during combat with terrorists in southern Lebanon. Both were evacuated for medical treatment and their families were notified.

đŸ›Šī¸ The IDF also reported that an officer was severely wounded following the impact of a suspicious aerial target in southern Lebanon, in what was assessed as a Hezbollah explosive drone incident.

Earlier in the day, the military identified a vehicle approaching IDF troops near Tebnit inside an evacuated active combat zone. According to the IDF, intelligence indicated Hezbollah intended to direct fire against soldiers from the area alongside evidence of broader terrorist activity nearby. The vehicle was subsequently struck.

An initial inquiry indicated the vehicle contained two Lebanese Army officers and one soldier. The IDF stated that operations in the area require prior coordination due to ongoing combat activity and emphasized that its operations are directed against Hezbollah rather than the Lebanese Army. The incident remains under review.

đŸ›Ąī¸ Multiple hostile aircraft infiltration alerts were activated throughout northern communities along the confrontation line, including Even Menachem, Shomera, Zar'it, Margaliot, Metula, and Misgav Am. Some alerts were later determined to be false identifications.

Near Zar'it, the IDF identified the impact of a hostile aircraft near an area where Israeli troops were operating in southern Lebanon. The aircraft did not enter Israeli territory and no injuries were reported. In another incident, the Israeli Air Force intercepted one hostile aircraft while two additional aerial targets fell near operational areas in southern Lebanon without causing casualties.

🚨 Additional alerts were triggered after surface-to-air missile launches were identified targeting Israeli Air Force aircraft operating in the area. The incident concluded without injuries or damage to the aircraft. Separate suspicious aerial target incidents were also identified near Margaliot and additional operational zones in southern Lebanon. Home Front Command instructed residents in confrontation-line communities to enter protected spaces upon activation of alerts.

đŸ•¯ī¸ The IDF cleared for publication the deaths of Captain Shahar Gamla, 23, from Natur, deputy company commander in the Egoz Unit of the Commando Brigade, and Sergeant Ohad Yaari, 21, from Rehovot, a soldier in the Shaked Battalion of the Givati Brigade, both of whom fell during operational activity in southern Lebanon. May their memories be a blessing.
