💥 IDF STRIKES HEZBOLLAH AFTER TWO RESERVISTS KILLED: The IDF struck Hezbollah weapons storage facilities, a command center and other infrastructure across southern Lebanon following Wednesday’s deadly explosion in Majdal Zoun.
Maj. (res.) Harel Birenstock, 34, from Nokdim, a company commander in the 55th Paratroopers Brigade’s 2855th Battalion, and Sgt. Maj. (res.) Tamir Vaknin, 33, from Eilat, a combat soldier in the same battalion, were killed. Four additional reservists were severely wounded and hospitalized.
An initial IDF investigation found that the explosion occurred as troops entered a structure around noon while working to demolish Hezbollah infrastructure. The military subsequently carried out strikes against Hezbollah targets in the area.
🛰️ THOUSANDS OF HEZBOLLAH FACILITIES UNCOVERED IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: The IDF says Northern Command forces have uncovered thousands of Hezbollah sites over recent months, including command centers, living quarters, launch sites, observation posts, underground infrastructure and large quantities of weapons.
According to the military, Hezbollah developed an extensive operational network inside southern Lebanese villages, embedding military infrastructure within civilian areas and endangering the local population.
🛡️ INTERCEPTOR MISTAKENLY LAUNCHED AT IDF FIRE: An interceptor was mistakenly launched toward what was later identified as IDF fire originating from operations inside the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. No injuries were reported, no sirens were activated in accordance with protocol, and the incident is under review.
❌ ISRAELIS ATTACKED AFTER MISTAKENLY ENTERING JENIN AREA: Two Israeli civilians who mistakenly entered the Jenin area were attacked by Palestinian terrorists who hurled a brick at their vehicle, causing damage but no injuries.
The civilians later reached IDF soldiers at the Gilboa Crossing. IDF forces subsequently entered the Jenin area, conducted searches and apprehended wanted individuals.
🚧 APPROXIMATELY 15 ISRAELIS CROSS INTO LEBANON: Approximately 15 Israeli civilians damaged the border fence near Ghajar and crossed into Lebanon on Wednesday. IDF and Border Police forces located the group, returned all of them to Israel and transferred them to the Israel Police.
The IDF condemned the incident as severe interference with operational activity that endangered troops, and called for those involved to be brought to justice to prevent repeated incidents, which the military described as a criminal offense.
⚓ ISRAELI NAVY HOLDS LARGE-SCALE MEDITERRANEAN AND RED SEA DRILL: The Navy conducted an exercise involving hundreds of sailors aboard missile boats, corvettes, submarines and patrol boats, incorporating lessons from fighting over the past three years.
Mediterranean scenarios included maritime infiltration, multi-front combat, aerial threats, firepower and protection of strategic assets including gas rigs, ports and national infrastructure. Red Sea training focused on command capabilities, synchronization and cooperation between naval units.
