🎯 IDF strikes armed terrorists transferring weapons in southern Gaza.
IDF troops identified several armed Islamic Jihad terrorists and additional armed terrorists transferring weapons into a vehicle Tuesday. The weapons were intended for attacks against Israeli troops operating in the area.
The IDF struck the terrorists from the air while they were inside and adjacent to the vehicle, eliminating the threat. Footage was released showing the weapons transfer and the subsequent strike.
🪖 Planned exercise to increase military activity in the western Negev.
A military exercise will take place Wednesday morning in the northern part of the western Negev.
Movement by security forces, vehicles and aircraft will be noticeable, and gunfire will be heard. The exercise was scheduled in advance as part of the IDF’s 2026 training program and is not connected to a security incident.
🚧 Lebanese forces withdraw after entering the southern Lebanon Security Zone.
IDF soldiers identified Lebanese Armed Forces personnel accompanied by an engineering vehicle crossing approximately 150 meters into the Security Zone near Zawtar al-Sharqiyah earlier Tuesday.
According to the IDF, the Lebanese personnel breached barriers contrary to the understandings between the parties. Israeli soldiers fired warning shots into the air without endangering the Lebanese forces, prompting them to withdraw. No injuries were reported.
The IDF said the location was not part of the designated pilot area. It called on the Lebanese Armed Forces to remain within agreed areas and warned that entry elsewhere without prior coordination could endanger Lebanese troops.
🤝 Trump and Aoun discuss Israel, Hezbollah and regional normalization.
Lebanese President Joseph Aoun was welcomed at the White House by President Trump, who said: “The Abraham Accords were a success, and soon you will see many countries joining.”
A reporter asked Trump whether he would pressure Israel to withdraw following reports that Israeli forces had fired near Lebanese troops deploying to a pilot zone.
“I just heard about that. We will be looking at it”.
The reporter’s description differed from the IDF’s statement that the Lebanese forces had entered an area outside the designated pilot zone.
Trump also told Aoun: “If the President wanted me to speak to Hezbollah — you know he's lived with Hezbollah for a long time — I would”.
Aoun said: “I’ve been looking forward to meeting such a great president like yourself.”
Trump replied: “See? He knows how to get to me. Now, he can have anything.”
🛡️ The U.S., Israel and Lebanon examine options for disarming Hezbollah.
One proposal under consideration would have the United States train, equip and vet elite Lebanese Army units, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Those forces would gradually replace IDF troops in southern Lebanon before potentially attempting to disarm Hezbollah if necessary.
Other options include Syrian assistance in cutting Hezbollah’s supply routes or continued Israeli military operations intended to further weaken the terrorist organization.
