⚠️ IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir said the IDF remains in immediate readiness to resume operations against Iran if required.
Speaking during battalion and company commander training exercises in northern Israel, Zamir said all offensive and defensive systems were placed on high alert during the recent confrontation, enabling the military to intercept incoming threats and strike Iranian targets “swiftly and forcefully.”
He warned that the recent Israeli strike in Iran was “preparation for a much more significant and powerful blow,” and said the IDF is prepared to carry out another severe and far-reaching strike if Iran attempts to impose “new rules” or alter the regional reality.
Zamir said Iran’s efforts to reshape the balance of deterrence “will fail.”
Zamir also said the IDF will continue deepening operations against Hezbollah while defending northern Israeli communities.
He confirmed that Israeli forces are continuing operations along the Forward Defense Line in southern Lebanon, including the dismantling of Hezbollah infrastructure and a major underground facility in the Beaufort area used as a firing base and operational command center.
The visit took place during large-scale commander training exercises led by the National Ground Training Center, focused on preparing the next generation of battalion and company commanders for future combat scenarios.
Zamir told participants that their battlefield leadership and professionalism will play a decisive role in the IDF’s ability to defeat its enemies while maintaining operational standards and military values.
🇮🇱 The IDF also published new reservist statistics following Reservists Appreciation Day.
According to the military, Israeli reservists served an average of 94 days in 2024, compared to 78 days last year.
The IDF said 37% of reservists are parents, reflecting “the personal and family sacrifice required of them and their families throughout the fighting.”
The cities with the highest number of reservists are Tel Aviv with 42,000, Jerusalem with 23,000, Rishon Lezion with 16,000, Beersheba with 15,000, and Haifa with 14,000.
❌ IDF troops eliminated a gunman near the Israel-Lebanon border after soldiers operating in the Ramim Ridge area came under fire.
According to a preliminary investigation, the gunman fired at troops operating inside southern Lebanon near the border barrier, and soldiers returned fire.
His body was later located inside an Israeli military zone west of the border barrier.
The investigation found that while the gunman technically crossed into Israeli territory, he did not infiltrate Israel’s border fence, which is built several meters inside Israeli territory.
IDF ground forces, including special forces, together with Israeli Air Force aircraft, continue extensive searches in the area. The incident remains under review.
