⚠️ RUBIO: IRAN WILL PAY “A VERY HEAVY PRICE”: Asked whether the U.S. ruled out striking civilian infrastructure, Secretary of State Marco Rubio did not directly answer, declaring: “The President’s policy is a head for an eye.”
Rubio said Iran’s industrial and defense infrastructure has been “decimated,” with launchers and radars being destroyed nightly and billions of dollars in damage inflicted.
He claimed Tehran is seeking negotiations through multiple third countries but is not yet prepared to honor a deal.
“Despite all that bravado, they are suffering tremendously, and they’re going to suffer more until they come to their senses,” Rubio said.
⚓ TRUMP WARNS IRAN AND THE HOUTHIS: President Trump said: “A year ago the United States of America attacked, very powerfully, the Houthis, for their interference with commerce and trade, by shooting at ships. Since that time, and during our conflict with Iran, they have acted very responsibly.
Unfortunately, now they are starting up again, shooting at two Saudi Arabian ships last night. Please let this TRUTH serve to represent that if they do this again, the U.S. will hold Iran responsible, in that the Houthis are a Surrogate and/or Proxy of Iran, and major military punishment will be inflicted upon Iran and, of course, the Houthis, themselves, who I am very disappointed with in that they have, until now, acted very professionally and smart.”
✈️ IRGC COMMANDERS AND EQUIPMENT FLOWN TO YEMEN: Iran flew IRGC commanders, military advisers and missile- and drone-related equipment into Houthi-controlled Yemen this month, Reuters reported.
A Mahan Air flight carrying an estimated 10 to 21 IRGC personnel, including senior commanders, departed Tehran on July 13. Originally bound for Sanaa, it was diverted to Hodeidah after Saudi airstrikes targeted Sanaa Airport.
The personnel were reportedly sent to support Houthi operations and train fighters on new missile systems. The aircraft also carried gold intended to finance further Houthi activity.
