💥 CENTCOM releases new footage as strikes continue across Iran: U.S. Central Command released new footage confirming another wave of precision strikes on July 12 against dozens of Iranian military sites across multiple locations.
CENTCOM said the operation was intended to degrade Iran's ability to threaten international commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Targets included air defense systems, coastal radar installations, missile and drone capabilities, and small military boats.
The operation involved U.S. fighter aircraft, naval vessels, one-way attack aerial drones, and, for the first time, one-way attack sea drones.
CENTCOM emphasized that the Strait of Hormuz is a vital international maritime corridor, stating Iran does not control the waterway and that U.S. forces remain prepared to ensure freedom of navigation despite what it described as Iran's continued aggression, harassment, threats, and arbitrary declarations.
💥 New U.S. strikes reported across at least 14 Iranian provinces: Iranian media reported strikes in Sirik, Chabahar, Bandar Abbas, Kermanshah, Mahshahr, Ahvaz, Dezful, Behbahan, Omidiyeh, Andimeshk, Abadan, Shadegan, and along the Ahvaz-Haftkel highway.
A telecommunications tower near Taheroui village in Sirik was reportedly struck. Air defenses were activated in Mahshahr and Kermanshah.
Khuzestan's deputy governor said U.S. projectiles struck eight counties early Monday: Ahvaz, Behbahan, Dezful, Omidiyeh, Mahshahr, Andimeshk, Abadan, and Shadegan. Officials confirmed multiple impacts but denied reports that Ahvaz Airport or the Shalamcheh border terminal had been directly struck.
Regional reports said an aircraft hangar caught fire near Omidiyeh Airport, while smoke was seen rising from Dezful.
Iranian officials said a strike on the Mahshahr agricultural water pumping station killed one security guard and wounded four others. Isfahan's deputy governor separately reported one fatality and seven injuries at the Nain military base.
A U.S. official told CNN strikes continued for more than three hours. Another U.S. official told The New York Times fewer strikes were conducted than during the previous night's reported operation of about 140 strikes.
Al-Mayadeen reported the latest wave struck sites across 14 Iranian provinces and expanded beyond military targets to include economic infrastructure.
⚓ Hormuz fighting continues: CENTCOM spokesman Capt. Tim Hawkins told CNN that IRGC forces had "fired at commercial shipping" transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
He said U.S. aircraft had so far "intercepted an Iranian cruise missile and a one-way attack drone."
