He said Iran had originally agreed only that it would not develop a nuclear weapon, but the language was expanded to include not developing or purchasing a military weapon. Trump added: “That's a big difference.”
Trump also said Iran is in a very bad position and claimed that “the fake news is probably their biggest asset.”
🔸 U.S. SEEKS STRICTER NUCLEAR AGREEMENT TERMS: According to Axios, President Trump reviewed a draft nuclear agreement negotiated by his envoys and requested several changes before giving final approval.
The proposed revisions reportedly focus on stricter limits regarding Iran’s enriched uranium stockpile and clearer language concerning the Strait of Hormuz. U.S. officials expect Tehran to respond within the next few days.
🚤 IRGC UNVEILS MISSILE-ARMED FAST ATTACK BOAT: The IRGC unveiled a new missile-armed fast attack boat called “27 Rajab,” describing it as a low-profile vessel capable of carrying cruise missiles with a range of approximately 700 kilometers and operating in rough sea conditions.
The presentation also included an IRGC fast attack boat previously used in operations in the Strait of Hormuz, which was placed on display in Tehran’s Revolution Square.
❗️ IRGC CLAIMS DRONE SHOOTDOWN: The IRGC said it shot down an MQ-1 Predator drone that it claimed belonged to the U.S. military and had entered Iranian territorial waters to conduct a “hostile operation.”
However, the MQ-1 Predator was officially retired by the U.S. military in 2018. The UAE, aside from Turkey, is considered a more likely operator of the aircraft.
🗣️ TEHRAN DENIES REPORTS OF PRESIDENTIAL RESIGNATION REQUEST: Iran International reported that Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian sent an official letter to Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei requesting permission to resign.
Mahdi Tabatabai, communications adviser to President Pezeshkian, denied the report, stating: "The rumors spread by the unreliable foreign network are a continuation of the ridiculous propaganda games it has conducted in the past. They publish their wishes instead of reality. President Pezeshkian will not withdraw from his service to the people, just as the Iranian people will not withdraw from the path of unity and steadfastness. The dream of breaking the national unity of the Iranians they will take with them to the grave."
Tasnim News Agency also cited an Iranian government source denying the report. The source described Iran International as a “factory of fabrications” linked to Mossad and said Pezeshkian continues to perform his duties normally and will proceed with his scheduled plans.
