✈️ Saudi airstrikes targeted Sana'a International Airport: Local Yemeni and regional media reported that Saudi fighter jets carried out multiple airstrikes against Sana'a International Airport in Houthi-controlled Yemen.
Yemen's Defense Ministry said the runway was targeted to prevent an Iranian aircraft from landing. Iranian media later reported the aircraft diverted and landed safely at Al-Hodeidah Airport in western Yemen.
The Houthis condemned the strikes, declaring Saudi Arabia had "ended the de-escalation phase" and "declared the start of the war." Houthi military and political officials warned the attacks "will not go unanswered," while Houthi military media stated that "the response is coming."
Yemen's Defense Ministry also warned it would confront any aircraft violating Yemeni airspace using all available means.
The head of the Saudi-backed Yemeni Presidential Council accused the Houthis of deliberately receiving an Iranian flight outside Yemen's legal framework despite offers to resume civilian flights through official channels. He said responsibility for the escalation rests with the Houthis and Iran, adding that protecting Yemen's sovereignty, airspace, and ports is a national duty.
Earlier, Yemen's Information Minister alleged the Houthis detained a Red Cross aircraft at Sana'a Airport, taking custody of both the pilot and co-pilot.
⚠️ Iran warned against foreign involvement in the Strait of Hormuz: Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters declared it would not permit the United States to interfere in management of the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement warned Iran would respond decisively to any U.S. disruption of commercial shipping outside Iranian-designated routes and said any regional country providing military or logistical support to U.S. forces would be considered to have committed an act of war against Iran.
Iranian officials further warned that any wider conflict would engulf the entire region.
⚠️ Iran reiterated warnings to regional countries and rejected U.S. messaging: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei said Iran's defensive strikes target only U.S. bases, facilities, and sites used by the United States to attack Iran, including logistical and support facilities.
He said Iran has repeatedly called on regional countries not to allow the United States or Israel to use their territories, facilities, or lands to plan, prepare, or carry out attacks against Iran, describing this as a standing demand based on good neighborliness and international law.
Baghaei added: "We will not hesitate to defend ourselves. Any area or part of any country used to attack Iran will inevitably be subject to Iranian defensive measures."
He also dismissed reports suggesting Iran is seeking negotiations, calling such claims "part of the psychological game" and "publicity stunts," saying Iran is focused on its work, monitoring developments, and will take the appropriate stance when necessary.
🔸 Iran rejected IAEA access and reaffirmed its negotiating position: Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Iran does not agree to the IAEA's request for access to Iranian nuclear facilities.
He reaffirmed Iran's "commitment in exchange for commitment" policy, saying Tehran will continue withholding its obligations while other parties violate their commitments.
Baqaei also confirmed preparations are underway for Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's upcoming visit to Tehran.
He dismissed President Trump's statements regarding alleged assassination threats as "a blatant act of audacity" and "psychological warfare," asserting Iran would not be misled by tactics from a party that "pridefully" assassinated Iranian leaders and officials.
