❗️ RADWAN FORCE TERRORISTS CAPTURED IN SOUTHERN LEBANON AS INTERROGATIONS REVEAL COLLAPSING MORALE AND IDF REAFFIRMS LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE TO DISARM HEZBOLLAH

❌ RADWAN FORCE TERRORISTS CAPTURED AND INTERROGATED: During targeted ground operations in southern Lebanon, IDF troops apprehended armed terrorists from the Radwan Force who had planned to fire an anti-tank missile at IDF troops. They were transferred to Unit 504 for questioning.

The questioning revealed declining morale among Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon, even as the terror organization continues efforts to carry out attacks.

❗️ INTERROGATIONS POINT TO IRAN-DRIVEN MOTIVATION AND LOW MORALE: According to the questioning, Hezbollah entered the fighting in service of the Iranian terror regime. One detainee stated: “Hezbollah went out to avenge Sayyed Ali Khamenei.”

Additional testimony described the condition among operatives: “The morale is on the floor. No one has the strength to go out and fight. I just came out of a year and a half of war. Anyone who leaves their home does so against their will. You can’t tell them (Hezbollah) you don’t want to come. It’s all bombardments, you don’t know when a bomb will fall on you.”

⚠️ BUFFER ZONE PLAN UNDER REVIEW: The Israeli military will present to the political leadership a plan to establish a "security zone" in southern Lebanon.

The proposal includes demolishing Lebanese villages near the border and establishing army posts several kilometers inside Lebanon.

The IDF says the plan is being coordinated with legal authorities and will soon be presented for approval.

Defense Minister Israel Katz has said the IDF will raze all buildings in the first line of villages and that civilians will not be allowed to return south of the Litani River until the Hezbollah threat is removed.

According to the military, the plan calls for clearing all villages within a few kilometers of the border of Hezbollah infrastructure, except for several Christian communities.

The IDF says most of these villages were already cleared during the last ground offensive in late 2024.

Troops are still finding weapons and Hezbollah infrastructure in some areas.

According to the military, some of the infrastructure predates the war, while other elements were established during the 2024–2026 ceasefire.

♟️ STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE AND LIMITATIONS: The IDF says its goal is to significantly weaken Hezbollah and remove the threat to northern residents, while acknowledging that fully disarming the group is unrealistic.

For that reason, the military does not expect to completely halt Hezbollah rocket fire, since most launches originate north of the Litani River.

The IDF says Hezbollah still has thousands of short-range projectiles, though these are now largely directed at Israeli forces in southern Lebanon rather than civilian communities.

Military officials also say Hezbollah is "deeply troubled" by Israel’s intention to continue the offensive even after the war in Iran ends.

The war in Iran remains the IDF’s primary focus, with Lebanon a secondary front.

In the event of a ceasefire in Iran, the military is expected to shift most of its attention to Lebanon.

🪖 IDF REAFFIRMS LONG-TERM OBJECTIVE TO DISARM HEZBOLLAH: After a military official said that disarming Hezbollah in the current ground offensive in southern Lebanon is unrealistic, the IDF clarified that it remains committed to that objective over time.

"We clarify that, as the chief of staff has said in the past, the IDF is committed to a long-term objective of disarming Hezbollah. This objective includes a wide range of efforts that will continue over time," the IDF says.

"The current campaign is causing blows to Hezbollah and weakening it, and will advance the achievement of this objective over time," the army adds.
