🎯 OCTOBER 7 HAMAS COMMANDER ELIMINATED: Earlier today, the IDF, directed by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet), struck in Gaza City and eliminated Hamas commander Jamal Mahmoud Abu Kamil, who infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 Massacre. According to the IDF, Abu Kamil advanced terrorist attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians throughout the war and in recent months. He was eliminated from the air to remove the threat.
⚠️ IRAN WARNS SYRIA AGAINST INTERVENING AGAINST HEZBOLLAH: Iran has reportedly sent messages to Syria via Turkey warning against implementation of a military scenario, reportedly being prepared with U.S. encouragement, under which Syria would intervene against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
According to Lebanese outlet UNews, Tehran informed Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Iraq that any Syrian intervention against Hezbollah would trigger a broader regional confrontation on Syrian territory. Iran warned that its missile response would include strikes on more than 100 strategic sites in Syria, including the Syrian Presidential Palace.
🛡️ 401ST BRIGADE COMPLETES EIGHT-MONTH LEBANON DEPLOYMENT: The IDF’s 401st Armored Brigade has completed more than eight months of operations in southern Lebanon and is returning to the southern sector.
According to the IDF, the brigade destroyed more than 1,200 Hezbollah terrorist infrastructures, seized over 600 weapons and eliminated more than 60 terrorists. Operating across mountainous and complex terrain, the brigade seized key tactical positions and conducted targeted raids on Hezbollah infrastructure, locating weapons stockpiles, combat compounds and numerous underground routes.
Forces also seized a military site that enabled entry into the village of Rshaf, where they destroyed tunnels, shafts, anti-tank missiles, weapons caches and other terrorist infrastructure. The brigade said it adapted methods developed during two years of combat in Gaza to the Lebanese terrain, including expanded use of advanced robotics to disrupt and destroy enemy infrastructure before manned forces entered.
The fighting also claimed the lives of brigade fighters and commanders and wounded others. With its northern mission complete, Brigade 401 is returning south with the operational experience and technological capabilities accumulated in Gaza and Lebanon.
🚫 LIEBERMAN RULES OUT GOVERNMENT WITH RA’AM: At a private political gathering in Tzurit in the Galilee, Lieberman said: “After October 7, Ra’am MKs spoke like Hamas spokespeople — we will not sit with them in a government.”
🪖 SMOTRICH SETS ULTRA-ORTHODOX ENLISTMENT CONDITION: Smotrich said increasing the ultra-Orthodox enlistment rate would be a condition for joining the next government, declaring: “We will bring about a revolution”
He set a target under which soldiers would serve no more than 30 days of reserve duty per year by 2027. The plan calls for assigning approximately 50,000 additional soldiers to the reserves and establishing a national program for ultra-Orthodox enlistment, including expanding dedicated service tracks for yeshiva students.
