⚠️ An Israeli official told Channel 12 that attacks in southern Lebanon “will continue with full force in the coming days,” despite Israel halting strikes on Iran at the request of President Trump.
The official warned that if Hezbollah attacks against Israel continue, Israel will strike the southern suburbs of Beirut, including Dahieh.
An Israeli security source told Israel Hayom: "There are no restrictions on the IDF's operations in the southern suburbs of Beirut".
Senior Israeli officials said the general feeling during consultations was that “the round is behind us,” while confirming that attacks in southern Lebanon will continue as usual.
Iran, meanwhile, announced an end to its operations against Israel, while warning of additional attacks if Israeli strikes continue against Lebanon.
Since that statement, Israel has already conducted several additional strikes in southern Lebanon. The second Israeli strike since Iran warned Israel against attacks in Lebanon. This time also targeting villages on the outskirts of Tyre.
⚠️ Attention is now turning to Tehran’s warnings and whether Iran will respond directly.
Based on the wording of the earlier IDF Spokesperson statement, the recent Hezbollah rocket launches did not appear to create sufficient grounds, under the familiar “rules of the game,” for a strike in Dahieh at this stage.
The Iranian statement carried a dual message: an attempt to present the current round as ending, alongside a warning of significant escalation if fighting in Lebanon continues.
Notably, the warning was not limited to Beirut. It also referenced southern Lebanon itself.
✈️ Iran has canceled all domestic flights in the country until further notice.
♟️ An Israeli source said the next major issue with the Trump administration will be preventing Tehran-Washington negotiations from becoming linked to the Lebanon front.
