🎯 IDF completes large-scale strikes on Iranian strategic defense systems: The IDF says dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets, directed by the Intelligence Directorate, completed a large-scale strike on strategic defense systems belonging to the Iranian terror regime.
According to the military, Iran had recently deployed defense systems across numerous areas in an effort to restore detection and defense capabilities degraded during Operation Roaring Lion.
The IDF says the strikes dismantled those systems and further enhanced the Israeli Air Force’s freedom of action in Iranian airspace.
Iranian media reported explosions and air defense activity in Tehran during the strikes.
Mehr news agency also reported that a “hostile drone of the US-Zionist enemy” was shot down over Tehran.
⚠️ Houthis claim missile attack on central Israel and threaten Red Sea maritime traffic: The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen claimed responsibility for this morning’s missile attack on central Israel.
According to the IDF, one missile launched from Yemen was intercepted by Israeli air defenses.
The Houthis claimed to have launched a “missile barrage targeting sensitive Israeli enemy targets” in the Tel Aviv area.
The group also announced a “complete and total ban on Israeli maritime navigation in the Red Sea,” declaring what it called “all enemy movements” to be legitimate military targets.
The Houthis have previously launched attacks in the area of the strategic Bab el-Mandab Strait.
