💥 The IDF published first footage from overnight strikes targeting Iranian air defense systems in western and central Iran.
According to the military, dozens of Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck nine Iranian air defense systems, including launchers armed with missiles intended to target aircraft.
The IDF says secondary explosions were identified following one of the strikes, indicating missiles were inside the launcher at the time it was hit.
According to the military, the dismantling of the systems further expands Israeli aerial superiority in Iranian airspace, with the goal of continuing to remove threats to Israeli civilians.
💥 The Israeli Air Force also struck infrastructure at the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, southwestern Iran.
According to the IDF, the targeted facilities were used by the Iranian regime to manufacture and export raw materials for weapons production. The military says the infrastructure produced unique materials used as critical components in Iran’s ballistic missile program.
The strike joins a broader series of Israeli strikes against the complex during Operation Roaring Lion.
⚠️ The Israeli military says it is preparing for at least several more days of fighting against Iran, and is also ready for the possibility of a full resumption of the war.
Since last night, Iran has launched 24 ballistic missiles toward Israel, according to the IDF. The military says the missiles were either intercepted or struck open areas.
♟️ Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen also launched two ballistic missiles toward Israel this morning.
According to the IDF, one missile was intercepted while the second failed to reach Israeli territory.
The United States military participated in interceptions of Iranian missiles fired at Israel. The IDF says Israeli strikes are being carried out independently, while maintaining “full coordination” with US Central Command.
According to the military, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir has spoken three times with CENTCOM commander Adm. Brad Cooper.
