🎯 The IDF continued extensive operations across southern Lebanon and the western Bekaa Valley, with Lebanese media reporting Israeli airstrikes and artillery activity in Tyre, Mashghara, Ansariyeh, Sajd, Jebchit, Kfar, Marj Al-Khokh, and additional areas near Palestinian camps and agricultural zones. Earlier evacuation warnings issued by the IDF covered Tyre and surrounding neighborhoods, including a Christian area that had not previously received such notices. Lebanon’s Health Ministry reported preliminary figures of 8 killed and 32 wounded following a strike on a residential area in Tyre.
🚀 The military stated that operations focused on Hezbollah infrastructure used to support attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF forces. In the Tyre area, six Hezbollah sites were struck, including facilities linked to explosive first-person-view drone launches. Additional strikes targeted armed rocket launchers, Hezbollah operatives operating near Israeli positions, and infrastructure associated with explosive drone activity.
🏚️ Israeli forces also continued demolishing Hezbollah infrastructure and former frontline outposts in Shiite villages near the border. Footage from Maroun al-Ras showed ongoing demolition work. IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir said Israeli forces remain active along the Forward Defense Line in southern Lebanon, including dismantling Hezbollah infrastructure and destroying a major underground Beaufort facility used as both a firing base and operational command center.
🛡️ Hezbollah launched a rocket toward Israeli troops operating in southern Lebanon, which was intercepted by Israeli air defenses. The launch triggered an early warning in the Kiryat Shmona area without activating sirens. Additional aerial threats intercepted over Nahariya were later identified by Israeli media as two Hezbollah drones launched from southern Lebanon.
🏛️ Israel’s Security Cabinet instructed the IDF that any rocket or missile fire crossing from Lebanon into Israeli territory may now be met with strikes in Beirut without requiring additional political authorization. An Israeli official separately warned that attacks or infiltrations originating from Lebanon could trigger strikes on Beirut’s southern suburbs. In Beirut, U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa stated that if Hezbollah halted attacks on Israel, Israel would cease targeting Beirut’s Dahieh district.
⚠️ Along the northern border, an armed infiltrator from Lebanon was killed by IDF troops during an incident near the Ramim Ridge area. According to the military investigation, the suspect opened fire on Israeli troops after being identified by a logistical transport soldier responding to reports of a fire near Margaliot. Reinforcing forces returned fire and killed the attacker inside an abandoned guard post adjacent to the border fence. The suspect was reportedly wearing a military uniform and carrying a handgun and knife.
🚧 The IDF clarified that although the attacker technically crossed into Israeli territory, he did not breach the actual border fence, which is positioned several meters inside Israeli territory. Israeli assessments indicated the infiltrator may have intended to enter a nearby northern Israeli community and was discovered largely by chance. The military said it had not yet determined whether he was affiliated with Hezbollah or another organization. Ground forces, special forces units, Israeli Air Force aircraft, and drones conducted extensive searches throughout the area while residents of Misgav Am, Margaliot, and Manara were instructed to remain indoors. Nearby roads were temporarily closed before the IDF declared an all-clear at 5:50 p.m. The incident was reviewed by Northern Command chief Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo and is expected to undergo further examination by IDF Chief of Staff LTG Eyal Zamir.
