🎦 BEAUFORT RIDGE CAPTURED: The IDF published additional footage of Golani Brigade troops capturing the Beaufort Castle in southern Lebanon, including aerial views of the Beaufort Ridge and surrounding valleys.
The footage also shows documentation by a Golani soldier during the ascent to the fortress.
❗️ NETANYAHU ORDERS EXPANDED OPERATIONS: Israeli media report that the United States has authorized Israel to operate and strike beyond southern Lebanon. Israel has also submitted formal requests seeking approval to expand military operations into Beirut.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the issue with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, arguing that Israel "cannot remain passive" while Hezbollah operates from Beirut and that immunity for the city would undermine ongoing negotiations.
An Israeli source told Channel 12 that the Trump administration appears more open to the idea.
"I have instructed the IDF to expand the incursion in Lebanon. Our forces have crossed the Litani River. They took dominant terrain. They captured the Beaufort ridge. And now my instruction is to deepen and expand our hold on places that were under Hezbollah's control. The capture of Beaufort is a dramatic stage and a dramatic change in the policy we are leading. We have broken the barrier of fear. We are taking the initiative, we are operating on all fronts – in Syria, in Gaza, in Lebanon; we have established security zones beyond our borders to protect our communities."
Netanyahu also stated that Israel will not withdraw from southern Lebanon as long as a threat remains on the ground.
🛡️ LAUNCHES FROM LEBANON TRIGGER NORTHERN ALERTS: The Home Front Command issued a precautionary directive after launches were identified from Lebanon toward several areas in northern Israel, instructing residents to enter protected spaces if alerts were activated.
Sirens warning of a hostile aircraft infiltration were sounded in the Rosh HaNikra area. A suspicious aerial target was identified, and the incident later concluded without injuries.
The Israeli Air Force also intercepted two projectiles launched from Lebanon toward Israeli territory.
A projectile was identified falling adjacent to IDF soldiers operating in southern Lebanon following the earlier launch detection.
The incident ended without injuries. No sirens were activated in accordance with protocol.
