⚠️ IRAN WARNS OF ATTACKS ON U.S. FORCES IN HORMUZ: Senior Iranian officials warned that any American role in managing traffic through the Strait of Hormuz would be treated as a ceasefire violation.
Head of Iran’s Parliament National Security Committee Ebrahim Azizi: “Any American intervention in the Strait of Hormuz system will be considered a violation of the ceasefire. The Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf will not be managed by the delusional statements of the U.S. President. Attempts to shift blame or justify interference will not be accepted.”
Spokesperson for Iran's Central Military Command: "We have repeatedly stated that the security of the Strait of Hormuz is in the hands of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and in any situation, any safe passage is done with the coordination of the armed forces. We warn that any foreign armed forces, especially the invading American army, will be attacked if they intend to approach and enter the Strait of Hormuz."
The Iranian General Staff (Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters): "Commercial ships and oil tankers should refrain from crossing without coordinating with us to ensure their safety. We warn that any foreign force, especially the US military, will be attacked if it approaches Hormuz. Any aggressive action by America will destabilize the current situation and endanger the security of ships."
🛡️ U.S. DETAILS “PROJECT FREEDOM” FRAMEWORK: The U.S. military said efforts to restore maritime traffic will involve missile ships, more than 100 aircraft operating from sea and land, unmanned systems, and approximately 15,000 troops.
Overnight, many American military fuel tankers have been operating over the Middle East.
A U.S. official told The Wall Street Journal that "Project Freedom" will not include U.S. Navy escorts. Instead, it will be a coordination effort among insurers, governments, and shipping companies to facilitate navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.
"The U.S. Navy will equip ships with information on safe passages through the Strait not threatened by Iranian mines." - Axios
